Reviews - Marlin Hotel 4* - Dublin | Voyage Privé

With our superb weekend deals, you'll be able to visit Dublin Castle, once the home of the UK government in Ireland and now used for state occasions and visits – such as the visit of the Queen. You can wander through Dublin's peaceful parks – such as Herbert Park and St Stephen's Green - and lose yourself in their tranquil greenery. You can visit the bustling shopping areas of nearby Grafton Street and load up on souvenirs to remember your visit by. And no visit to Dublin would be complete without a stop at the Guinness Storehouse – where you can watch a perfect pint of the Irish stout being poured (and sample it as well, of course).

Dublin has an enviable literary history, with notable names such as Jonathan Swift, William Butler Yeats and George Bernard Shaw having been born or brought up in the city. You will have the opportunity to visit Trinity College and the National Museum of Ireland, as well as to wander the streets of James Joyce's masterpiece Ulysses. If you're of a more sporting persuasion, be sure to visit the magnificent Croke Park (which hosts Gaelic football, rugby union and hurling), as well as the impressive Aviva Stadium and Dublin's One Day International cricket grounds. Then, of course, there are the theatres of Dublin if you fancy taking in a show - such as the Olympia, the Gate and the Grand Canal.

The hotel is very easily accessible from the airport with the bus that drops us off at 1 minute walk (terminus station Heuston). We reached the city center every day on foot return 20 minutes of quiet walking. The room was top: spacious and clean, tea and kettle at our disposal, safe, and great views of the factory GUINESS which is an institution (you should visit the museum). Small bottles of water are offered to us every day. The breakfast is hearty, very varied salty and sweet with quality products. Excellent hotel to highly recommend for exploring Dublin.
