Of course, you'll find traditional City Sightseeing Bus tours, guiding you around the main attractions of the city and offering insightful facts and information. History galore!

History spills from Glasgow and floods the city with culture, so it's no wonder that there are plenty of museums just waiting to be discovered. The Gallery of Modern Art is a beautiful building inside and out and full of inspiring contemporary art. It is the main gallery for contemporary art in Glasgow and often holds exciting exhibitions and workshops, so there's always something to see and do. Not into art? How about the Scottish Football Museum instead? Home to over 2,000 pieces of football memorabilia, this museum located at the national stadium Hampden Park is a must-see for sports fans. And these are only two of the many museums in Glasgow, with a great deal of them being free to enter, making them a great choice for any adventurer.

Views for miles

With a skyline like Glasgow's - full of church spires, ancient architecture and modern masterpieces - it's no wonder that tourists and locals alike flock to find beautiful views of the city. Luckily, there are some brilliant options available. Visit The Lighthouse, an architecture and design centre. It's free to enter, but be warned you'll have to climb a long spiral staircase to reach the top - the views will be worth it though! Of course, you could also visit Queen's Park on the Southside of Glasgow. From here, you'll even be able to see the snow-tipped peaks of the Highlands almost 100 miles away.

Whether you're after romantic views, layers of history or something a little quirky it's all waiting for you in Glasgow. Book last minute Glasgow holidays with Voyage Prive and unearth this wonderful Scottish city and everything it has to offer.

The room was fine but not brilliant. The dinner we had was good and with a good enough bottle of wine. The dinner and wine were part of the offer price so happy with this. Seems the hotel had decent leisure facilities which I did not use as wasn’t aware of this.

Room not quite ready when arrived so I went a walk leaving my wife in reception. When the room was ready I was not there, but male receptionist took my wife to the room and carried our cases up to the 6th floor.
