Day 1: Arrival in Dublin
Upon arrival in Dublin, spend the afternoon taking in the attractions of Europe’s most popular city. Don’t miss Trinity College, the Book of Kells, St Patrick's Cathedral and the trendy Temple Bar. Taking a break from sight-seeing, Grafton St. (Dublin’s favourite shopping district) has everything you need to relax. Visit Bewley’s Café and enjoy an Irish coffee in a favourite venue of many of Dublin’s literary greats. Venture down Wicklow St. to find quaint bistros and the Powerscourt Shopping Centre, which boasts the perfect combination of variety and a stunning setting, or, maybe go alfresco with a picnic in St. Stephen’s Green. Once you’re refreshed, it’s back on the trail again seeking out all that Dublin has to offer.

Day 2: Dublin - Clare
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, spend the morning walking around Dublin, including St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christchurch, Dublin Castle, the Irish Whiskey Centre and the Guinness Storehouse. Day 3: Clare - Kerry
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, drive to Doolin and take a 1-hour cruise around the famous Cliffs of Moher. Standing 214 metres above the Atlantic Ocean at their highest point and stretching for 8 km along the rugged coastline, these cliffs are sure to astound. In the afternoon, you will continue on to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, where you can stop for a pint of stout at Durty Nellies. Continue to the postcard pretty Adare Village before arriving in Killarney.
Overnight stay in County Kerry
Day 4: Dingle Peninsula
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, head off for a day of adventures. The Dingle Peninsula has the most rugged coastline in Ireland and is scattered with ancient huts and historic buildings. A great deal of traditional Irish heritage is maintained in this Irish-speaking (Gaelic) region (a Gaeltacht), including traditional music art and crafts. Considered by many to have some of Europe’s most spectacular scenery, the peninsula also supports both a rare and unique assortment of flora and fauna. Slea Head is the most westerly point in Europe and standing there, looking towards America, instills a feeling of excitement and empathy with the millions of emigrants who took this route.
There are splendid views around Slea Head, especially of the Blasket Islands and the scattered rocks which are all part of an exploded volcanic area. In the storms of September 1588, four ships of the Spanish Armada were driven through the Basket Sound. Two reached shelter by way of great seamanship but a third sped through the Sound with its sails in tatters and crashed onto the two other ships. Nonetheless, the other two eventually returned to Spain.

Day 5-7 of 6-night Wild Atlantic Way Fly Drive
Day 5: Kerry - Cork
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, set off for a day of adventures. Today, you will leave Kerry and venture into the heart of Cork, driving through the stunning landscapes of West Cork on the way. It’s no wonder that West Cork is called ‘A Place Apart’. Nature sets the pace in this beautiful southwest corner of Ireland – stretching from Kinsale to three rugged westerly peninsulas reaching into the wild Atlantic.
You’ll find more open spaces, scenery and tranquillity than it is possible to take in during one visit. Many people return year after year to re-experience the peaceful rhythm of the fishing and farming community, where the seasons are paramount and people do notice how fast the grass is growing!
Don’t miss the charming medieval fishing village of Kinsale. If you’re looking to sample some gourmet seafood then Kinsale has some of the best seafood restaurants in Ireland. If you’re not in search of something fishy, the narrow streets of this quaint village are also lined with shops, galleries and plenty more to keep you entertained before you head towards Cork city.

Day 6: Cork - Dublin
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, set off for your return journey. Before driving back to Dublin/Wicklow, take some time to enjoy The City of Cork. Much like Venice, the city is constructed upon water with some of the main streets being built over channels. Despite the fact that the city centre is built on an island in the River Lee, the whole city is completely accessible by foot.
The city dates back to the 7th Century and was founded by St. Finbarr. Many examples of centuries old architecture still exist including the 300 year old tower of St. Anne’s Church (home to the Shandon Bells) or St. Finbarr’s Cathedral (a monument to its namesake featuring stunning French Gothic spires). For a snippet from the city’s more recent history, you need look no further than the English Market, whose stalls have been packed with foods from the world over, since Victorian times. Visit Blarney Castle - Situated 8 km from Cork City, this historic castle is most famous for its stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it.

Time permitting, drive up to Malin More to visit the little Folkpark in Glencolumbcille at the most Western tip of Donegal. Stop at the impressive Slieve League cliffs at Ti Linn, the highest sea cliffs in Ireland, which rise 601m from sea level and offer magnificent views across the Atlantic Ocean. Admire the traditional Tweed weavers at Studio Donegal in Kilcar, who promote local materials and tradition in their production.
Overnight stay in County Donegal
Day 3: Donegal
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, take a full day tour around the Donegal Coast. You will be spoiled with natural beauty and vast landscapes along the way. Glenveagh National Park (Ireland’s largest National Park) is a great location to enjoy the country air and take in your surroundings. Covering over 16,000 hectares in the heart of the Derryveagh mountains, visitors are invited to embark on an array of walking trails with guides, which deal with different themes within the park, such as sites of historical significance.

Day 4-5 of 9-night Wild Atlantic Way Fly Drive
Day 4: Donegal - County Mayo
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, set out for a day of exciting adventure. Today, we suggest visiting Achill Island. This is Ireland’s largest offshore island in County Mayo and can be accessed via a road bridge. Once there, you’ll find a plethora of activities, sights and breath-taking scenery. The Atlantic Drive takes visitors on a 40 km round trip that includes the very best of the island’s scenery. Achill is also home to five stunning Blue Flag beaches, some of Europe’s highest sea cliffs and large tracts of blanket bog, which sweep over the island’s two peaks and down to the shore.
The island holds proof of human settlement dating back 5,000 years in the form of various megalithic tombs and promontory forts. A visit to the deserted village of Slievemore is a must. Cyclists and walkers are also catered for with a host of trails and quiet lanes, which will help you to discover all that this idyllic island has to offer. The Great Western Greenway is a new 42 km long track for cyclists, walkers and runners and follows the route of the former Achill to Westport railway line.
Overnight stay in County Mayo
Day 5: County Mayo - Clare
After enjoying a full Irish breakfast at your hotel, travel to one of the most outstanding areas of natural beauty in Ireland. Connemara is one of the few remaining areas in Ireland where the native tongue (Gaeilge) is still fluently spoken as a first language. Travel through the stunning Doolough Valley and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Killary Harbour. You can even take part on a cruise on Ireland's only fjord!
Visit the exquisite neo-gothic Kylemore Abbey, nestled in a lush forest on the edge of Kylemore Lake. Clifden, Connemara's capital is well worth a visit and the scenic Sky Road drive just outside town should not be missed. However long you spend in Connemara you will be constantly enchanted by the ever-hanging scenery of mountains and valleys, lakes and beaches and bays. In the afternoon continue to Clare.
