Algarve Family Holidays
As the southernmost part of Portugal, the Algarve has a balmy, Mediterranean climate. It is awash with stunning, sandy beaches, interesting little coves and sparkling turquoise waters that have consistently been alluring for family holidays for many years.
Algarve family holidays
The Algarve makes such a fabulous family holiday destination in part due to its almost permanent sunshine. It is one of the sunniest places in Europe, with glorious weather for around 300 days of the year. Being able to (almost invariably) rely on this weather makes planning Algarve family holidays both easy and fun! Consistently waking up to blue skies and sandy beaches makes the Algarve a truly luxury holiday experience.
Luxury holidays for the family
Our hotels are always handpicked to ensure four or five star luxury is at your disposal. This means high quality comfort for all the family and a clean, safe environment to assist relaxation and be the perfect home from home as you and the family explore the natural beauty of the Algarve.
Attractions for Algarve family holidays
Part of its beauty and seductiveness is the rich coastline at the Algarve, where you can observe nature in the form of interesting wildlife. Off to the west, the coastline is a little more rugged and rustic, which provides a contrast to the highly developed and convenient eastern part.
No Algarve family holiday is complete without a trip to Aquashow Park. On the northwestern side of Faro, it is one of the biggest water parks in the whole of Portugal. Boasting myriad rides for all age groups, there's something for everyone. Adventurers will relish the recent addition of the FreeFall; with chutes dropping a mighty over 100ft, it is the longest free-fall water slide in the whole of Europe. There is also a Lazy River for relaxing in and soaking up the glorious sun!
Cities to visit in the Algarve
Faro is the centre of administration and is home to some 55,000 people. With an old town area and a cathedral, Faro is also equipped with stunning, quirky shops. Lagos is a European hub, with a busy marina and a rich history. Various beaches jewel the city, which also has a fort. Portimão is the capital of the area and has both a museum and a marina. It's a great springboard for exploring the area.
