Sierra Nevada

A natural beauty that cannot be missed is the Sierra Nevada mountain range where you can get back to nature with a hike in the bountiful natural parks or just experience the incredible backdrop it gives the city. To continue a cultural education of the city, guests should also visit the equally majestic, historic sites of the Royal Chapel of Granada, the Palace of Charles V, the Court of the Lions and the Carthusian Monastery.

Granada’s dramatic alpine backdrop is the Sierra Nevada range, which extends about 75km from west to east and into Almería province. Its wild snow-capped peaks include the highest point in mainland Spain, while the lower reaches of the range, known as Las Alpujarras (sometimes just La Alpujarra), are dotted with tiny scenic villages. The incredible slopes surrounding your hotel make for excellent skiing opportunities! Expect tapas in small squares or tight alleyways, stroll through the city’s old town or the Carrera del Darro or buy flowers on the Bib Ramble for a glimpse of day to day life.

Granada

Granada is the home of the exceptional Alhambra Palace, the site of the last Muslim Emirs in Spain and the fantastical court of the Nasrid dynasty. Moorish poets describe this unique palace as "a pearl set in emeralds", an allusion to the colour of its buildings and the woods around them.

The city of Granada basks in Alhambra's reflected glory and has much to offer its visitors. The hill-top Albaicín, the former Moorish town, is a fascinating area full of charming narrow alleyways and small squares that are a delight to stroll through. Not far away is the city's ornate cathedral, the final resting place of the Catholic monarchs who ended Moorish rule in Spain - the monarchs who created the nation of Spain that we know today. Granada's history is a melting pot of cultures: Arab, Christian and Jewish identities interweave throughout the city, whilst Moorish baths and some fine architecture, including the wonderful La Cartuja monastery, add to the city's historical charm.

Ohtels San Anton is a charming four-star hotel located in the city of the Alhambra. Close by to all of the city's top sites, from here, guests can enjoy strolling around by day, with a visit to the Arab Baths, Science Park, Alcaicería and lots of exhibition centres.

The hotel itself is a modern establishment which offers a picnic area, an outdoor pool and a rooftop terrace for all to enjoy. It has been a prominent hotel in the historic centre of Granada since 1994.
