Tyrol's biggest lake, the Achensee, can be reached via a nostalgic steam train - nature lovers should also take a trip to the Reintaler Seen! The snow reliable ski area "Skijuwel Alpbachtal - Wildschönau" is only 3.5 km away from your hotel. It is known for its varied range of slopes for sporty skiers as well as families and spectacular panoramic views of the peaks in the Alpbachtal, Rofan and Zillertal. It ranks among the Top 10 ski areas in Tyrol.

Boasting 109 km of pistes and 145 km for active skiing, The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau in the Austrian Alps is one of the most varied ski areas in the Tyrolean Kitzbüheler Alps and suits beginners, families and the experienced skiers alike. Offering 32 kilometres of blue pistes, 78 kilometres of red pistes and 18 kilometres of perfectly groomed black pistes, you'll have a range of ski and winter sports opportunities.

Superior Room

These charming Superior Rooms (45sqm) are spacious and offer authentic historic details and plush furnishings. Spend cosy nights in the plush beds, adorned with elegant linen, while taking advantage all these rooms have to offer. The Yrsch room offers a bright, sunlit space and views onto the Matzenpark and the small castle lake, while the Frundsberg Superior Room is the castle's "tower room". there is also the spacious Stein room which features wooden floor made from antique wood, cozy upholstered furniture and silk curtains create a cosy atmosphere.

Grand Romantik Suite

These large suites (75sqm) are luxurious and spacious - each boasting unique design, cosy living rooms fantastic original features. All three Grand Suites offer spectacular views onto the castle grounds with its lake and onto Matzenpark. All feature ideal amenities and authentic design, including a historic tiled stove or the round corner seat and a comfortable sofa.
