Information about your ski area:
The Katschberg ski area is perfect for family and friends to enjoy some fun out on the slopes. The world-leading ski resort boasts up to 80km of slopes for guests to enjoy with a variety of runs and levels of difficulty to try out. Head up to the Tschaneck piste or the reservoir on Aineck mountain at 2200 m for some extra adventure and fantastic views. There are 16 lifts available which feature the latest in lift technology and 700 snowmaking machines covering 100% of the pistes. The area has also been awarded the Carinthian piste seal of approval and even offers night skiing several times a week for that extra special experience. 

In Katschberg guests can find many moderate slopes and 10km of blue and black slopes as well as a kids fun park ensuring everyone is catered for during their time here. There are ski buses that run from the valley to the ski area as well as ski trails running from many of the hotels, directly to the slopes for ultra ease and convenience.

Das Alpenhaus Katschberg 1640 —

Das Alpenhaus Katschberg 1640 provides all of the services and comfort of a 4* hotel in the form of a collection of 78 charming Alpine Apartments. The apartments are situated amidst stunning mountain scenery at 1640 m above sea level in the snow-sure skiing and hiking area of Katschberg. It is in the perfect location to give guests direct access to the pistes and mountains with the ski-in ski-out apartments that provide a hassle-free, convenient stay. The apartments feature rustic Alpine design with cosy interiors and facilities for guests to feel truly at home during their stay. 

The Alpenhaus Katschberg also boasts a large wellness area, a children's playroom and a restaurant with sun terrace for the ideal options for when you are not out on the slopes. There is also a sports shop and ski hire service available directly at the aparthotel. The hotel was completely refurbished in December 2015 and provides a warm, welcoming space to stay with impressive panoramic mountain views and classic Austrian hospitality. Guests can also find ski schools and sports shops close by.

These standard apartments consist of one bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchenette for he ultimate home-away-from-home feeling. The apartments feature a traditional decorative style with a cosy, welcoming ambiance as well as modern furnishings such as a dining table, a 4 burner cooktop, microwave, 
sofa bed, TV and a charming balcony or terrace area where you can enjoy mountain views. 

Please note that the Alpen Suite will not be cleaned during the stay.

Dine at the Alp.In Restaurant for a cosy, relaxed vibe offering an open fire and a bar area where guests can unwind after a day on the slopes. The sun terrace also boasts panoramic views of the Tschaneck piste and gorgeous surrounding mountains. The daily buffet breakfast features local, fresh produce for guests to choose from and create their perfect breakfast and fill up for the day ahead. The buffet includes a wide variety of breakfast foods such as yoghurts, cereal, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and tea and coffee. There is also Austrian cuisine and theme evenings on offer at the restaurant.

Guests can also opt to enjoy the bread delivery service which can be booked in advance and brings a variety of treats to your apartment so that you can indulge in a lazy morning.

Here guests can also find 3 saunas, 2 relaxation rooms, an ice fountain and a cold air room.
