DAY 2 :  DURBAN  –  HLUHLUWE   
Breakfast

Departure in the heart of Zululand; Mostly populated by Zulus, this territory allows to become familiar with their culture and their traditions. Originally, Zulu ("paradise") was the name of a chief, whose descendants were called Abakwazulu, the people of Zulu. Zululand is above all a region of beautiful green hills.

Cruise in St Lucia –
Departure for the reserve of Saint Lucia, you will embark on a boat to make a walk on the wildlife reserve of Saint Lucia, which includes the lake of the same name and a sinuous estuary that leads to the sea. You will have the opportunity to observe crocodiles and hippopotamuses, which multiply without restraint since they are protected.

DAY 3 : HLUHLUWE – SWAZILAND
Early wake up

Departure for your 4x4 safari in the reserve. The Reserve is home to many species of animals: the shy Nyala, giraffes, zebras, blue zebu, impala, etc. as well as elephants, white rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, hippos and countless birds.

Road to Swaziland, a small enclave kingdom in South African territory. The Swazi people live there with respect for tradition, trusting in their good fortune.

You will cross the border and cross a region of plains and mountains and you will continue by the "happy valley", name given to the area south of Mbabane, towards Manzini.

Visit of a traditional factory of candles. Observe the art of the craftsman.

DAY 4 : SWAZILAND – KRUGER REGION

Suggested excursion
Visit along the way of a glassware workshop.
Visit the Swazi village of Matsamo [or similar] where you can taste local dishes.

Opportunity to discover in this village "Matsamo" customs and language "Swazi" which has a strong influence "Sotho". The passion with which this community will pass on their indigenous knowledge and practices will not leave you indifferent. This is a good example of solidarity shown by this community full of energy and cultural knowledge ...

Return to South Africa and continue to Kruger Park.

DAY 5:  KRUGER

Safari day in Kruger Park (at liberty).
It is the largest animal reserve in the country. The park brings together nearly 150 species of mammals, more than 500 birds and more than 100 reptiles, where naturally appear the "Big Five" but also zebras, giraffes, crocodiles ... Wild frame intact and tracks in perfect condition guarantee the comfort of discovery. It only remains to roll slowly and be attentive to rustling leaves.

Safari aboard your vehicle in the park to discover African wildlife. You will find the largest variety of animals gathered on the African territory ... 450 species of rare birds share a virgin nature with impala, buffaloes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamuses, lions, leopards .

DAY 6: KRUGER - BLYDE RIVER CANYON

Departure to discover this beautiful region that is the Drakensberg. You will travel the roads through rugged landscapes and stop to admire the many sites. You will see the "God's Window" which offers a magnificent panorama of the whole valley and the surrounding mountains.

Then, you will reach the most spectacular point of the course when arriving at Blyde River Canyon. In fact 800 meters below, the Blyde River forces its bed through the rock formations. The canyon is superbly dominated by three peaks imitating towers, nicknamed the '' three rondavels ''.

Continuation to Pilgrim's Rest - Visit this city-museum whose wooden houses of the only street, restored, date from the time of the searchers of gold at the end of the XIXth century.

DAY 7: BLYDE RIVER CANYON – PRETORIA – SOWETO - JOHANNESBURG

Road to Pretoria. Short panoramic tour of the city of Pretoria; although being the administrative capital of the country, Pretoria is a small provincial town.

In spring, the city is drowned under a bloom of jacarandas.

You will discover among other things the Church Square, the historic center of the city, the Union Building, where took place on May 10, 1994 the inauguration ceremony of President Nelson Mandela. It is the government seat of Greek architecture overlooking the city, with beautiful gardens and the Voortrekker Monument, a Boer War memorial.

Continuation for SOWETO
Panoramic tour of the township of SOWETO, home to more than 4 million people.
One can see the house of Desmond Tutu and visit local black communities.

DAY 8: JOHANNESBURG  - DEPARTURE
