Start your holiday with a road trip through this spectacular region and, after 6 days traversing South Africa's impressive scenery, hop over the Kosi Bay border to Mozambique, a rapidly developing country famous for its flavoursome cuisine, coral reefs and spectacular beaches that stretch out to the Indian Ocean. Day 1: Durban
Umhlanga is an affluent resort town north of Durban on the coast of KwaZulu-Natal. One of Umhlanga's main attractions is its world-renowned beach, which boasts long stretches of golden sand and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing. Other popular activities in Umhlanga include snorkelling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, and whale watching.

- 20-minute drive to aha Gateway Hotel in Umhlanga
DAY 2: DURBAN - HLUHLUWE
Hluhluwe is sandwiched between the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park and Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, and has beautiful scenic surroundings. This region is famous for its juicy pineapples, many surrounding reserves, abundant opportunities to spot the Big 5, and variety of other activities such as suba diving, horse riding, hiking, canoeing, boat cruises, and mountain biking.
Bushlands Game Lodge offers an unforgettable African bush experience, with Zululand accommodation in the heart of South Africa. Explore the fantastic Nyala guided walking trail, and the walkways that surround the lodge, home to tiny bush babies.

Ghost Mountain Inn rests at the foot of the legendary Ghost Mountain, a perfect setting to experience the array of local wildlife through local homestead visits, guided walks, and boat cruises on Lake Jozini.

DAY 5: MKUZE
Lake Jozini lies in a dramatic setting at the foot of the Lebombo Mountains and is one of South Africa’s largest dams. On the western side of the dam look out for elephants, rhinos, hippos and even crocodiles!
