Car rental conditions: 

 - Minimum Age of Driver: 23 years (additional cost of R 160.00 per day for anyone under 23) with a valid driver's license. Valid Code 08 (EB) licence, Code 10 (C1) licence or international driver’s licence issued by the applicable authorities.

- The driver must have held the permit for at least 3 years.

- A credit card in the name of the driver (the lead name of the Voyage Privé booking) will be required (Mastercard, Visa or American Express only; Visa Electron or Maestro cards are not accepted).

- The driver must present a passport when collecting the vehicle and along with the residential, postal and physical addresses, banking details, mobile telephone number and e-mail address. A local contact address and telephone number must also be provided if not a citizen in the country in which the vehicle is rented.

- Please note: You will pick up and return your rental car at the airport from the Europcar premises (office hours 08:00 – 17:00).

- The fuel is the responsibility of the driver who must return the vehicle with the initial fuel level.

Additional fees:

Additional Driver fee: R 530.00 per rental

GPS Unit: R 150.00 per day (+ security deposit of R 1 500 applies)

Young Driver Surcharge (applicable to drivers under 23 years, must have held license a minimum of 3 years)

Child or Baby Seat: R 530.00 per seat (booster seats unavailable)

A deposit, as required is payable when collecting the rental vehicle. The deposit will be refunded when the vehicle is returned.

 

Important Information:

The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted).

A deposit will be required when you pick up the vehicle. In case of refusal, the rental company is entitled to cancel your car rental (note that Visa Electron or Maestro cards are not accepted).

Car rental is in 24h increments. Any additional hours may be subject to a surcharge. Rates are indicative and subject to change.

For further information about your car rental, you will be contacted directly, providing you with all the information you need and voucher information. This should be sent a few days before your departure.

 

In order for your rental vehicle to be available upon your arrival, please give us your flight schedule within 48 hours of your reservation by filling out the dedicated form in your member account. Without this information, your car may not be available in a timely manner. 

If booking as a single traveller, room occupancy is not guaranteed. You may be placed in either a single, double or twin room, based on the availability of the property at the time.
