Santiago de Compostela was in past years a famous pilgrimage site in north-west Spain, which became a symbol in the Spanish Christians' struggle against Islam. Destroyed at the end of the 10th century, it was then completely rebuilt in the following century.

With its Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque buildings, the Old Town of Santiago is one of the world's most beautiful urban areas. The oldest monuments are grouped around the tomb of St James and the cathedral, which contains the remarkable Pórtico de la Gloria.

Situated in an 18th-century building, lulled by the sound of the Sar river and surrounded by an estate of 10.000 m2, this hotel boasts a range of facilities including a great spa.

The charming rooms at the Hotel A Quinta da Auga all overlook the garden, are spacious, bright and welcoming and boast oak-flooring, wallpaper and decoration that lend warmth and elegance.

The marble bathrooms give a friendly atmosphere in combination with painted paper and designer faucets. All rooms have fluffy bathrobes and slippers available for guests.

Your Board Basis —

This offer is based on a bed and breakfast stay.   You can upgrade to half board (breakfast and evening meal served in main restaurant - excludes drinks) or full board (breakfast, lunch and evening meal served in main restaurant - excludes drinks) at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee.

Restaurant
The gastronomic restaurant of A Quinta da Auga Spa Hotel, the Filigrana restaurant, is one of the best restaurants found in Santiago de Compostela. The kitchen of the restaurant is one of the great attractions. Its elegant rooms, its terrace with views to the rear of the lush garden is the ideal place to enjoy a lunch or dinner accompanied by the babbling of the water.

Please note: the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Your Time —

Just for you: 1 x spa circuit per person per stay (90 minutes in the spa, must be pre-reserved).

A Quinta da Auga boasts a renowned 5-star spa here in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. Its design and the quality of their hydrotherapy treatments and manual therapies make it a real treat for the senses.

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers:  Transfers are not included but can be added at the next stage of booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only). The approximate transfer time/distance from Santiago de Compostela Airport is approximately 20 minutes/19km.

Car Hire: Car hire is not included but can be added during the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only)

Weather —

Meet & Greet —

If you are driving to the airport in the UK, and book our package including flights, you may wish to add our Meet and Greet service. Take the hassle out of airport parking and have an official representative take your car on arrival, and it will be waiting for you on your return.

This can be added at the next stage of booking process where available.

Car Hire —

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.

The minimum age for driving a hire car in Spain is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year. You must present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card or cash deposit.

Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, Meet & Greet, car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
