Northern Tenerife offers some enticing differences to its southern counterpart. A quieter area, the north part of the island offers a tranquil ambience as well as remote landscapes perfect for exploring. Although the weather may not be quite as sunny as in the south, northern Tenerife is less of a resort destination and as such offers more traditional sights and attractions.
Whilst the bustling port city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is full of waterside cafes, quirky boutiques and lots of traditional Spanish restaurants. It is a welcome change from some of the more touristy towns of the island, as it has retained its local charm.
