Although the weather may not be quite as sunny as in the south, northern Tenerife is less of a resort destination and as such offers more traditional sights and attractions.

Whilst the bustling port city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is full of waterside cafes, quirky boutiques and lots of traditional Spanish restaurants. It is a welcome change from some of the more touristy towns of the island, as it has retained its local charm.

Located in the old town centre of Puerto de la Cruz, housed in an emblematic building, this traditional hotel offers amazing facilities and spectacular views of Mount Teide. Built in 1712, the Marquesa Hotel has been running since 1883 and we most renovated in 1995. With its traditional architecture reminiscent of haciendas, the property offers an elegant and floral decoration with modern facilities including a heated outdoor swimming pool, a cosy bar and a popular à la carte restaurant.
