Peniscola is a historical delight and features a parade ground that serves as a balcony over the Mediterranean and is the perfect place to see a panoramic view of the coastline. In spring and summer, this walled enclosure hosts a Spanish comic film festival and a festival of Baroque music.

Peñíscola is located in the Valencian province of Castellon, boasting a gorgeous coastal line and rich historical and cultural relics. The capital, Castellon, is a hub of activity, however, it's the wilder natural setting that attracts most visitors. The province is known for the Costa del Azahar, which features many beach resorts. The 13th-century Peñíscola Castle has panoramic coastal views, and a botanic garden in the neighbouring Artillery Park.
