Costa Teguise —
If Arrefice or Playa Blanca are the hubs of activity on the island of Lanzarote, Costa Teguise is the island’s quieter sibling. Just a short drive from the capital, this attractive resort offers plenty for visitors to enjoy, with a range of hotels and lodgings all just a short walk from the resort's string of beautiful beaches.
As the resort has grown in recent years, it has increased its recreational offerings too: families travelling with children might take a visit to the Lanzarote Aquarium, or head down to Bastian Beach, a wonderfully-sheltered spot where you can take a dip in the sea and soak up the Canary sunshine. There are also plenty of sports facilities in the resort, including a host of windsurfing schools, a golf course, and scuba diving - perfect for those looking for a bit more excitement on their sun-soaked break.
At the end of the day, unwind and admire the sunset from one of the waterfront restaurants, where Spanish food is a staple. Around Pueblo Marinero, the central square and authentically designed as a traditional Canary fishing village, visitors will also find a variety of bars among the maze of alleys and plazas.
