Lanzarote —
The northernmost of Spain’s Canary Islands, Lanzarote is the perfect choice for those in search of a holiday filled with warm weather, dramatic natural landscapes, and idyllic beaches. Families will enjoy relaxing at one of the island’s resort hotels, while active travellers can get involved in cycling or watersports.
Playa Blanca is one of the island’s most popular tourist hubs. Aptly translating to ‘white beach’, this resort on the southern coast of the island draws visitors thanks to its soft beaches - nearby, the Papagayo beaches are some of the best on the coast, all azure sea and dramatic volcanic cliffs.
Further north, Arrecife is the island’s capital - a hub of modern museums, bars, and restaurants, along with a stylish marina. If you have time, it’s worth taking a trip to Timanfaya National Park to experience some of this island’s unique volcanic landscape.
