The island’s consistent winds make it a hotspot for kiteboarding and windsurfing, while the volcanic terrain is perfect for hiking and exploring ancient lava fields. Visit the Turtle Nursery in Morro Jable, where injured sea turtles are rehabilitated before returning to the wild, or take a ferry to Lobos Island, a secluded nature reserve with pristine beaches and hiking trails.
Good to know:
Fuerteventura enjoys year-round sunshine, with the best time to visit between October and May, when temperatures are pleasantly warm. The island is ideal for a relaxing beach holiday but also offers plenty of adventure for those who seek it.
