F1 Spanish Grand Prix —
With a length of 4.655 kilometres, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is known for its thrilling 16 bends and a 1,200-metre straight that runs alongside the pits and grandstands, where drivers often exceed 310 km/h. Over the years, it has hosted some legendary driver battles—Senna vs. Mansell in 1991, Schumacher vs. Hakkinen in 2001, and Hamilton vs. Rosberg in 2016—and also holds a special place as the launchpad of Fernando Alonso's F1 career.
Originally constructed in 1991 for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics cycling events, the Montmeló circuit has become one of Europe’s most iconic tracks. Thanks to its unique mix of straights and turns, it’s frequently used for pre-season testing. In 2025, three-time reigning world champion Max Verstappen will return to defend his crown, aiming for a third consecutive win here. However, Lewis Hamilton, keen to reclaim the title, will bring his new single-seater to the track, with hopes of capturing an unprecedented 8th world championship.
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc, building on a strong finish to the 2024 season, will be looking to challenge both rivals and secure his place on the podium.
One thing is certain: the 2025 Grand Prix de Barcelona-Catalunya is set to deliver a spectacular show.
