The biggest treasure of the Duques de Medinaceli Hotel is its Botanical Garden. It covers 5,000m2 and has been recognised as a place of public interest by the Andalusian government. It recreates the exquisite nineteenth century environment of aristocratic hotels. Its silence, privacy, fruited scents, the night jasmine and the visual delight of the jacaranda are some of its characteristics. All of this is found in the centre of a historic city that has not lost its identity.

The Duques de Medinaceli Hotel is the only five-star hotel in the centre of the historic quarter of El Puerto de Santa María. Its 5,000m2 Botanical Garden is recognised as a place of cultural interest.
The building is a palace that is linked to the Spanish aristocracy. The oldest part of the building dates back to the end of the XVII century and the rest of the building to the end of the XVIII century.
The Duques de Medinaceli Hotel has 28 rooms: 19 suites and 9 superior double, en-suite rooms, all of which are decorated with antique furniture that tells its own story. Each suite/bedroom is known by the name of one of the dukes or duchesses that are in the Medinaceli family tree.
One of the most striking parts of the palace is the Mudèjar style chapel which is dominated by an antique golden altarpiece.
Another attraction found in the Duques de Medinaceli Hotel is the swimming pool which is surrounded by gardens.
