Lions Eden Lodge 4* is a gorgeous new property resting peacefully in a the heart of a South African Nature Park. Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared itinerary throughout your stay at Lions Eden Lodge 4* :
DAY 1
Arrive at Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport and proceed to the bus terminal in the basement to board the shuttle bus to The Lion's Eden Lodge 4*, located in the sanctuary of Marloth Wildlife Park.
Upon arrival cool off with a welcome cocktail, carefully prepared with a traditional local alcohol. Alternatively, enjoy a delicious soft drink. Settle into your room and enjoy a well-deserved dinner on the terrace. You may even spot a handsome kudu, or a tiny bush baby!
DAY 2
After a tasty breakfast of coffee and cake, get an early start (around 5am) to head out on a jeep safari to one of the largest game reserves in Africa: Kruger Park. A friendly guide will share their passion and knowledge for the surrounding nature as you try to spot the Big Five - lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffalos. Other wildife includes over 500 species of nesting birds and more than 300 species of trees, including the marula, baobab, sausage tree, and mopane. An astonishing 6 ecosystems are found in this reserve of 20,000 km2.
Mid-morning, stop for a picnic feast by the river and peer out at the imposing hippopotamuses and spiny crocodiles basking in the sun. Return to the lodge at around 1pm for a lovely lunch on the terrace.
Enjoy a free afternoon to relax and make use of the pool, or take a pre-dinner stroll in Marloth Park. Dinner is served on the terrace at 7.30pm.
Wake feeling refreshed, and enjoy breakfast between 7.30 and 8.30am on the terrace. At 8.45am, leave for Matsamo village, a traditional Swaziland village where you can discover the traditional habitat and local cuisine at a generous buffet lunch (excluding drinks). The lunch is accompanied by a memorable dance show to the sound of the djembe. Before leaving take the opportunity to watch local handicrafts being made, and even buy some souvenirs to take back home.
Return to the lodge around 4.30pm, where you can relax by the pool or enjoy a massage (upon reservation, not included). Dinner is served at 7.30pm on the terrace.
DAY 4
After breakfast (more delicious coffee and cake), depart at dawn to admire the sunrise from a jeep as you drive to the starting point of your hike in Kruger Park. The trip takes 3 hours, but the walk is leisurely, enjoyable and suitable for everyone. Guests are accompanied by two armed rangers for total safety.
Upon your return to the jeep a snack and hot drink is waiting. Return to the lodge for an aperitif in the boma, and admire the beautiful bush. Lunch is served on the terrace at around 1pm, and the afternoon is your own before heading to Blyde River Canyon at 4pm for a sunset cruise.
DAY 5
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge between 8 and 9am and pass a leisurely morning on the bird trail along Crocodile River, or lounge by the pool and indulge in a massage (reservation required). Lunch is served on the terrace at around 1pm, and depart at around 4pm for a safari in Kruger Park with a backdrop of a glorious African sunset. As dusk falls observe the evening wildlife as predators begin to prowl the night. Return to the lodge around 8pm for dinner on the terrace.
DAY 6
Breakfast on the terrace between 7.30 and 8.30am, and leave at 8.45am for the panoramic road along the Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest canyon in the world. Admire the charming waterfalls that fall from a height of over 80 metres, and gaze out at the unique view seen from God's window. Enjoy exploring Bourke's Luck Potholes, hollowed out rock formations, and admire the 3 rondavels, rocks that resemble the shapes of the local houses.
Lunch at one of these sites, before returning to the lodge at around 5pm. Get ready for a brai in the boma (a typical barbecue!)

Rise and shine early for tasty coffee and cake before transferring by bus back to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, weighed down with wonderful souvenirs and amazing memories.

Enjoy a morning safari, and return to the lodge at around 1.30pm for a final lunch on the terrace. Spend the afternoon soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the pleasures of Marloth Park. Dinner at 7pm on the terrace.

Rise and shine early for tasty coffee and cake before transferring by bus back to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, weighed down with wonderful souvenirs and amazing memories.
