Explore the unique and breathtaking landscape of Connemara, the most distinct region of Ireland situated on the very edge of Europe and one of the most beautiful, unspoilt places in the world. Bound by its dramatic mountain scenery and the coastal formations of the Atlantic Ocean, Connemara is a traveller’s haven – a true place of discovery and tranquillity. The light of the sun and the changing seasons constantly alter the mood and tone of the landscape – a truly unique experience. Home to some of Ireland’s most well known and popular mountains for walking and hiking, such as Mweelrea, the Maumturks and the 12 Bens (to name a few), Connemara is the ultimate destination for hiking and walking.
The Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s world-famous coastal route that spans 2500km through 7 Irish counties, meanders straight through the resort, uniting the counties of Mayo and Galway. It acts as a spectacular cycle route through the mountains and valleys of South Mayo and Galway, and is complimented by the awe-inspiring views of Killary Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean, making it a popular location for cyclers and hill walkers alike.
