Makarska itself is built around a deep sheltered bay, and backed by the dramatic rocky heights of Mount Biokovo, which acts as a buffer from the harsher inland climate. British passport holders don’t need a visa to enter Croatia. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the Croatian Foreign Ministry.


Health 


If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. You should contact your insurance/medical assistance company promptly if you are referred to a medical facility for treatment.


Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

Brexit 
If you are travelling to the EU, the UK government recommends that you have six months left on your passport on the date of your arrival to an EU country. You should also check when your passport was renewed.

If you renewed a 10-year adult passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining.
