Cleaning Rooms
Our housekeeping room protocol begins with our team removing all used items from the room such as bedding and towels. Next, the team performs a full clean of the room and bathroom including vacuuming the carpet, mopping floors and wiping down all surfaces with hospital-grade cleaners. Then, using trusted products from Lysol*, we do an additional disinfecting step for several surfaces in the room, including: all switches and electronic controls, handles and knobs, major bathroom surfaces and the remote control.

Housekeeping Services
For your comfort, we want your stay to be as undisturbed as possible. Guests are invited to tailor their housekeeping services to their comfort level. To schedule, simply call the front desk. Additional amenities such as linens and toiletries are available upon request, delivered in protective packaging and placed at the guest room door. Of course, all guest rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests.

Public Areas
Guests will find disinfecting stations with wipes and hand sanitizer available throughout our properties. Additionally, both public and Team Member areas are cleaned at scheduled intervals, including hourly maintenance of high-touch areas like elevators and bathrooms.

Contactless Check-in
We also encourage guests to use the digital check-in for a contactless arrival experience.  When you book direct on Hilton.com or with the Hilton Honors app, you can check-in, choose your room, access your room with a Digital Key and check-out using your phone! This option is available at over 4,700 on Hilton properties worldwide. For those guests who do not have access to the digital technology, physical distancing measures will be in place directing guests on how to move through the in-person check-in and check-out process in a safe way.

Ideally situated in the heart of the medieval city of Bruges, the Dukes’ Palace is within walking distance of many of the main attractions. The market square is right on your doorstep and there are many shops, restaurants and bars in the surrounding area.

Bruges is best known for its chocolates and medieval towers, but this fairytale city offers much more than you may expect; from the World Heritage Site in the city centre to the charming markets on cobbled streets or numerous museums dotted all over the city, each of which explores a different part of this most romantic of cities.

The main sights of Bruges are conveniently concentrated within a fairly small area, making it very easy to explore. Highlights include the 15th-century Belfry in the central Market Square, the architecture of the adjacent Burg Square with the Basilica of the Holy Blood. The famous lace making can be observed in the Lace Centre.

At Hotel Dukes’ Palace the safety and security of our guests and team members remains our highest priority. Please find below more information about our COVID-19 policy. The guidelines and recommendations by the Belgian government are strictly followed.


General Measures:


  • Disinfectant hand gel is available in all public areas.

  • Procedures for cleaning and hygiene have been upgraded. Every room is disinfected after check-out.

  • Our staff is equipped with the necessary protective materials. In places where there is direct guest contact, plexiglass has been provided and our employees will wear a mouth mask.

  • Door handles and lift knobs are disinfected on a very regular basis.

  • We advise to limit the use of the elevator. If used, maximum 1 family at a time. We suggest to use the elevator to go up and the staircase to come down.

  • Payments are preferable made by debit/credit card



Breakfast 
  • Breakfast is served at the breakfast restaurant
  • You will be welcomed at the entrance and hosted to your table
  • The policy on social distance is respected
  • The buffet consists of pre-packaged food. The additional items are served at the table
  • Ideally, only one person per table attends the buffet

The guidelines of the Belgian government do not allow a reopening of a public hotel wellness for the moment.
As soon as this changes, the necessary measurements will be taken to re-open in a safe environment

An exception to this is the fitness area, which will be open. Disinfectant will be available to clean the equipment before and after use. The fitness is maintained by the hotel at regular intervals. Nevertheless, we ask our guests to show the necessary respect to keep the fitness a safe environment for everyone.

These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of July 10th 2020, the UK Government has approved that travel to Belgium is allowed without the need to quarantine upon return, thanks to an 'air-bridge' agreement. Belgium has been listed as a 'green/amber' destination and is therefore considered safe enough to visit without requiring 14 days of self-isolation upon reentering the UK. Tourists choosing to book stopover flights may not be permitted to return without quarantining if the country they stop off in is not also listed as green/amber by the UK Government.
