Xalo is a lovely little Spanish town with various claims to fame including its blue-roofed church and 'plaza major' - great for enjoying some tapas and a glass of vino while watching the world go by, its Mistela dessert wine (once a favourite of the King of Spain!), its Saturday Rastro (flea market), beautiful almond blossom in early Spring and its naturally produced honey.
Being the biggest of all the villages in the Valley, Xalo has various artisan shops, a good sized supermarket (Mas y Mas), several bodegas (wine shops where you can try before you buy), a Tuesday fruit & veg market, a pharmacy & Medical Centre, numerous banks, an excellent butcher (Galan) and renowned bakers (La Vicentica & Francis). In addition there are various restaurants and bars in and around the area that are well worth a visit.

Situated on a beautiful 10,500 sqm plot, Cuatre Finques is a unique, family owned Spanish-style finca which opened in May 2014 by Pep, Nicky and their baby girl, Isla. Creating Cuatre Finques was the making of a dream for the family for which they have worked so hard. Their vision was to create a beautiful place to relax, a home away from home with personal service, attention to every detail, where guests can enjoy tranquil real Spain in Pep's lovely home town of Xalo.

Eating and drinking in Spain is such a pleasure whether it be the paellas, tapas, fresh fish or the lovely local wines. Food and drink at Cuatre Finques is always locally sourced, if not grown on the land, and freshly prepared.
A light breakfast is available daily as standard and included in your room rate. Lunches are usually available on request and 3 times a week meals are provided in the evenings. There is also an honesty bar where you can help yourself to a wide selection of drinks and nibbles.

But if that's not your thing you can lie back by the pool reading a book and Nicky & Pep will take care of whatever you need.
