Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you'll be met by our guide and private car. You'll then take a transfer to your hotel in the city centre before enjoying some free time.
Next, if time allows, you'll visit the Reunification Palace (outside), the former residence of the Governor General of Indochina and later of the President of the Republic of South Vietnam until the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975 and then the Ho Chi Minh Cathedral (outside) and the Central Post Office, which are beautiful examples of French colonial period architecture.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta
You'll drive to the Mekong Delta (Ben Tre). On arrival at Ham Luong pier (200C Hung Vuong, Ben Tre town), you'll jump on board the dugout canoes for a ride on the Bến Tre River, one of the tributaries of the Mekong River, you will discover the commercial, handicraft activities that are carried out there.
Next, visit a handmade brick factory where printing and firing are still done according to a traditional technique.
You'll pass by the Cai Son canal which winds through the coconut jungle and visit a coconut processing workshop located along the canal. Here, you'll taste sweets, fruits and also listen to local music.
Depart by Tuk tuk along the shady paths, rice fields and vegetable gardens, where you'll get a glimpse of the life of the farmers.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to your rowing boat, and continue the trip along the stream to Hung Vuong harbour. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - Da Nang (Former Capital of Hue)
Breakfast at your hotel, free time until transfer to the airport for flight to Hue.
Upon arrival, your private driver will meet you and drive you to your hotel.

Day 4: Visit Hue and Discover its Gastronomy
After your breakfast, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel for the day's sightseeing in the ancient Capital of Vietnam, Hue.
You will take the road to visit the countryside of Hue including: Thanh Toan covered bridge, a unique architectural artistic monument, Thanh Toan village walk, an agricultural tools museum.
Return to the city centre for a visit to the Imperial City where the last feudal dynasty of Vietnamese kings ruled from 1802 to 1945, including the Flag Tower, the Nine Sacred Cannons, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, the Nine Dynastic Urns and the Forbidden Purple City.
At noon, you'll go to local restaurants to taste Banh Beo, Banh Nam, Banh Loc. Then, take a tour of Hue city before tasting Nem Lui, Banh Khoai with traditional peanut sauce.
After that, you will eat Bun Thit Nuong (rice noodles with grilled pork and vegetables).
In the afternoon, depart for the Toa Kham port in the city centre for a boat cruise. The boat sails up the peaceful Perfume River (Huong River) to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda which is also home to many young people who want to try and learn about the monk's life. The pagoda was built in 1601.
Then you will visit the beautiful An Hien garden house (meaning 'house of peace in Vietnamese'), one of the most beautiful in Hue.

Note: For people who do not want to eat street food, please tell your guide when you arrive in Ho Chi Minh. We can change to lunch in a restaurant for you.
Day 5: Hue - Visit Hoi An
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before your driver and guide collects you. Continue the drive to Hoi An through the Hai Van Pass, one of the most scenic coastal roads in the world.
On the way, your driver will make a few stops at the most beautiful places for some lovely photo opportunities.
You will arrive in Hoi An after about 3 hours of driving and take the road to Bay Mau Thai Binh Eco-Zone. A landscape of fish farms and water palms will accompany you along the way.
Have lunch in a local restaurant on the oasis.
Afterwards, you will take a 45-minute basket boat ride to explore the beautiful landscapes along the water palm forest where Vietnamese soldiers hid during the war.
This tour also provides you with many interesting activities, such as the shaking performance of the basket boat, learn how to use fishing nets, catch crabs, enjoy Phố Hội's fork songs, dance of the local band on the basket boat stage.
The tour ends at Cam Thanh Bridge where your driver will take you back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, you'll have free time to relax until transfer to the hotel at An Bang or Cua Dai beach for your beach stay. On arrival, free time to relax on the beach.

Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel, followed by free time until your transfer to the airport for the flight to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, your driver and guide will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in the city centre.
In the afternoon, you will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda - the oldest pagoda in Hanoi on the shore of the Western Lake. Afterwards, you will take a walking tour around the old streets which were named after the specific goods offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about the legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple.

Day 8: Hanoi Motorbike Tour
(Corresponds to day 11 if you have opted for the extension)
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide and motorbike driver will pick you up at 8:30 am. You'll board a motorbike to visit the city from a new angle.
Stop at the Opera House to take pictures while your guide gives you a quick overview of the French architecture, visible by the many colonial monuments scattered around the city centre. You will follow the zigzagging alleys to Gioi Market, the largest market for used mechanical parts and electronics in Vietnam.
You will continue your journey by walking through the old collective quarter to get a glimpse of the structure of the city's residential areas since the socialist period. You will walk through the tiny but lively streets of the old quarter known for its "36 streets of 36 goods". Your driver will take you to the historic Long Bridge, famous for its unique historical, architectural and cultural value.

In the afternoon, you will visit Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Temple of Literature & Vietnam's first university, built in the 11th century, where the well-preserved gardens and architecture offer a glimpse of Vietnam's past.
Next, you will continue to visit the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the nation, containing Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, and his house on stilts. This complex also includes the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the founding of the city.

Day 9: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay
(Corresponds to day 12 if you have opted for the extension)
Start the day with breakfast at your hotel and then the shared limousine minibus driver will pick you up from your hotel and you will leave for Lan Ha Bay - where thousands of spectacular limestone islets and caves rise from the clear emerald Gulf of Tonkin. You will arrive at the Tuan Chau Island pier after approximately two hours of driving (check-in procedure and welcome drink on board).
A cruise briefing will follow where you will also receive safety instructions and activities before checking into your cabins. While your boat sails towards Lan Ha Bay, you will enjoy your lunch.
You will arrive at the Light and Black cave - one of the best attractions in Lan Ha Bay, known for its pristine and tranquil beauty. You will explore the area by local boat or kayak. After that, you can swim in the cool emerald green water around the cruise.
Return to the cruise and enjoy the sunset over the bay while enjoying the Happy Hour special. You can also join the chef in the kitchen to learn how to make traditional egg rolls.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
After dinner, it's your choice for fun squid fishing (as per your request), spa (at your expense), karaoke or just relaxing.

Your Optional Excursions —
Day 6: Visit My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An City (Minimum 2 People)

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and you will drive to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 40km southwest of Hoi An. Set in a lush valley, My Son was once a capital and religious centre of the Cham people. With its impressive red-brick towers and shrines, My Son is considered to be in the same league as some of the greatest archaeological sites in Southeast Asia.
You'll then return to the city centre for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, you will discover the old town of Hoi An by walking around the town and its port. You will follow the narrow streets lined with houses of Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit the many sights: the 400 year old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, the local fish market...You will then continue with a visit to a craftsman's house and have a brief introduction to the history, origin of the shape and colours of the lanterns, as well as the many stages of making them.
