DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI
Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel (about 1 hour). After check-in (from 2pm), the rest of the day is free to explore at your own pace.
Hanoi, Vietnam’s ancient capital, was founded in 1010 by King Ly Thai To following geomantic principles. The city is a fascinating mix of old and new: bustling Old Quarter streets, modern skyscrapers, temples, pagodas, and a gentle, timeless charm.

DAY 2: HANOI
After breakfast, explore Hanoi’s highlights. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, then the One Pillar Pagoda (built in 1049 to resemble a lotus) and Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on West Lake.
In the afternoon, see the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, and stroll the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, famous for the "36 streets of 36 trades" (Silk Street, Rice Street, Paper Street, Lacquerware Street, Jewellery Street). Sample local specialities such as egg coffee, and finish with a walk around the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, the “Lake of the Returned Sword.”

DAY 3: HANOI – NINH BINH
In the morning, drive to Ninh Binh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, known for its karst mountains, misty caves, and historical sites. Visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, home to the first three feudal dynasties: Dinh, Le, and Ly. While the old citadel is gone, the temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties remain, surrounded by rice fields and mountains.
Next, explore Bich Dong, named the "second most beautiful cave in Vietnam" by a king, adorned with striking stalactites and stalagmites. Climb Ngu Nhac Son, the "Buddha Palm Mountain," for panoramic views of mountains, rivers, pagodas, and temples.
In the afternoon, take a scenic boat ride through rice paddies with a skilled local rower, passing towering karst formations and caves. Disembark to follow a village trail to Thai Vi Temple, enjoying the peaceful rural scenery and sacred grottoes along the way.

DAY 4: NINH BINH – HA LONG BAY. CRUISE AND OVERNIGHT ON BOARD
Located south of Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay features over 400 time-carved islets, offering a spectacular and less crowded seascape.
This morning, drive to Tuan Chau Marina (2½ hours) to board your relaxing cruise through this stunning scenery. Enjoy the panoramic views before a seafood lunch on board. In the afternoon, explore one of Lan Ha’s fascinating cave systems by traditional rowing boat, then return to the vessel for anchoring. Before dinner, watch a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, followed by an elegant meal.

DAY 5: HA LONG BAY – HANOI – HOI AN

Drive back to Hanoi in a private car, then transfer to the airport for your flight to Danang. On arrival, meet your driver (no guide) and transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

In the afternoon, visit the UNESCO-listed Imperial Citadel, then the beautiful An Hien garden house, a fine example of traditional Hue architecture designed according to Feng Shui principles.

DAY 9: HUE
After breakfast, board a dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River.
