Your Itinerary —
Day 1-3: Hanoi
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, your guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure time after a long flight. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi city.
DAY 2: HANOI (BREAKFAST)
Take advantage of this day to discover the essentials of the city. Your tour guide will take you through the city’s landmarks such as the Opera House, the French architectural district, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Stop to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside) and its stilt house and One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the founding of the city. Following by an exploration of the narrow, chaotic streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter by unique cyclo.
In the Old Quarter, as they had been since the 15th century, the 36 narrow streets of the Old Quarter bear names that reflect the trade that was once practiced there: Silk Street, Rice Street, Paper Street, Lacquer Street and Silver Street. Explore the fascinating labyrinth of alleys, discover your negotiating power, and leave with unusual objects that will always remind you of that memorable afternoon.
Continue your visit to the Museum of Ethnology where the recognition of Vietnam as a country of multiethnic and socio-cultural diversity is presented (this museum is closed every Monday and this visit will be replaced by the Temple of Literature). From there, you'll visit Hoang Hoa Tham Street, which is full of bonsai, flower, and pet shops, before taking a walk through a hidden alley and shopping streets of the Old Quarter. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi city.
DAY 3: HANOI - NINH BINH (HA LONG BAY ON LAND) – HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
At 8:00 am: Welcome by the guide and driver at your hotel. Depart for Ninh Binh - Ha Long Bay on land (approximately two hours’ drive). This region is named due to its magical landscape similar to the Ha Long Bay. Arrival at Tam Coc area. A bike ride to Thung Nham, boarding flat-bottomed boats for a walk (1.5 hours) through the rice fields on the site of Thung Nham, which is still unknown and preserved. The caves are endowed with very beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of different colors and shapes, which drip like precious stones. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Continue the bike ride to the Bich Dong pagoda located on the side of the Ngu Nhac Mountain. Set of three pagodas dating from the earlier Lees, we then have a magnificent view of the surrounding area. If you wish, visit the stone temple of Thai Vi located in the middle of the rice fields of the peaceful countryside. Then transfer to visit Mua Cave (Dance Cave), accessible by a hike of 450 steps to the top of the mountain and which gives one of the best views of Ninh Binh and in particular of Tam Coc. Once you reach the top, you will get a bird's eye view of the boats going leisurely down the Ngo Dong River and entering the cave. Drive back to Hanoi (2.5 hour journey). Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4-6: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi
DAY 4: HANOI – HA LONG BAY (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER/use of local guide on boat)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. At 08:30 – 09:00am the driver will pick up you from your hotel. Join shuttle bus transfer to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Arrival in boat pier, you are welcomed on board and will start for the most memorable cruise in Ha Long Bay. You enjoy a delicious lunch on board. Following activities such as the bamboo rowing boat to visit the floating market and caves.
Come back to the cruise and enjoy your time with the beautiful sunset over the bay. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight on boat in Ha Long Bay. Note: Cruise itinerary is subject to change due to weather condition and each cruise itself. Detailed cruise itineraries with timing will be provided once the booking confirmed.
DAY 5: HA LONG – HANOI (BREAKFAST/BRUNCH - use local guide on boat)
Watch sunrise and Tai Chi practice on sundeck. Following by a light breakfast serve in dining room and join more activities. Back to the main boat for relaxing and check out at the reception, please put all your luggage at the outside of your cabin door, crew member will help to bring luggage on land. Brunch is served in the restaurant before disembark at 11:00 – 11:30am. Join shuttle bus transfer back to Hanoi city. Rest of day is your leisure time. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi City.
DAY 6: HANOI – DEPARTURE (BREAKFAST)
After breakfast at the hotel and free time until transfer to the airport for your return flight. Note: Check-out time is 12:00 pm.
Optional 4-Night Extension in Phu Quoc
DAY 6: HANOI – PHU QUOC ISLAND (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at the hotel and your driver transfers you to airport for a short morning flight to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to resort by resort’s shuttle bus. Overnight in resort on Phu Quoc Island.
DAYS 7, 8, 9 : PHU QUOC ISLAND x 3 FULL DAYS (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel before enjoying 3 full free days to relax or do whatever takes your fancy. Overnight in Phu Quoc x 3 nights.
DAY 10 : PHU QUOC ISLAND – HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at your hotel, free time to relax until time resort’s shuttle bus transfers you to airport for a flight back to Ho Chi Minh City for your international departure flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Note: Please book the return flight after 15:30.
Optional 6-Night Extension in Phu Quoc
DAY 6: HO CHI MINH – PHU QUOC ISLAND (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel and driver transfers you to airport for a short morning flight to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to resort by resort’s shuttle bus. Overnight in resort on Phu Quoc Island.
DAYS 7, 8, 9, 10, 11: PHU QUOC ISLAND x 5 FULL DAYS (BREAKFAST)
