- Night in Louisiana
Day 2: New Orleans - Baton Rouge
On the way to the plantations, you can stop at Oak Alley Plantation, a superb mansion with shady alleys and century-old oaks, and Nottoway, an impressive building that testifies to the strength of the region's economy before the Civil War.
Discover the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, known in particular for its Capitol, and its famous Louisiana State University, which plays an important role in the local economy and on which the Rural Life Museum depends. The open-air museum features typical houses and equipment from the early 19th century.
- Night in Baton Rouge
Day 3: Baton Rouge - Saint Francisville - Natchez
In the morning, you will leave for Saint Francisville to visit a magnificent plantation in the region, Rosedown and its gardens inspired by those of Versailles. The downtown mansions dating from the 19th century are beautifully preserved.
- Night in Natchez
Day 4: Natchez - Atchafalaya - Lafayette

Day 5-8
Day 5: Lafayette - Saint Martinville - Houma
This morning you will travel to Saint Martinville, a town that in the 19th century was known as "Little Paris", and is a rare example of a very European village structure in the United States. After, leave for Avery Island.
Stop at the famous Jungle Gardens and Bird Sanctuary, home to many birds, as well as alligators and even raccoons, or head to the world-famous Tabasco sauce factory. On the way to Houma, you will pass through Morgan City, known as the shrimp capital of the world.
- Night in Houma
Day 6: Houma - Thibodaux - New Orleans
Start the day with the unmissable boat ride in the surrounding swamps, the famous bayous, where you may encounter some "crocodiles", the name given to the alligators of the region. Then head to Thibodaux, where the landscape is one of the prairies and sugar cane fields.
Continue through the swampy landscapes of Terrebonne to New Orleans where, among other neighbourhoods and buildings, you can admire the Garden District, from where you can take the Tramway named Desire (like in the beloved film).
- Night in New Orleans
Day 7: New Orleans
If you haven't already done so, take a stroll through the Vieux Carré. Discover the French Market, the Saint Louis Cathedral, and the Cabildo, a remarkable 18th-century Spanish building. Take the opportunity to try the delicious local gastronomy, one of the most renowned in North America, and dive into the city's electric music scene.
