Swamp and Bayou
After a short coach trip across the Mississippi, you'll take a fascinating boat trip through the swamps and bayous of Louisiana. Discover the timeless beauty of southern Louisiana aboard a custom-built, all-weather swamp boat.
Native guides will reveal the mysteries of the swamps and bayous and the joie de vivre of the Cajuns. Learn how the Cajuns turned soup into gumbo, the washboard into a musical instrument and the Louisiana swamps into a paradise. See the nesting grounds of alligators, egrets, raccoons, coypu and many species of snake. Some wild animals are more numerous during the warmer months of the year. A local naturalist will give you a wildlife show at Bayou Nature. Snakes, snapping turtles, raccoons and coypu will be among the animals on show.
