The Lake District is a hikers' paradise, and boasts some of the UK's best walks. The area around Keswick is great for walking, whether you're experienced or not - you only have to walk a few minutes and you're out in open country with often magnificent views of the water and the fells beyond.
There are also plenty of quaint towns and villages to explore in the area. Approximately 5 minutes from the pretty market town of Keswick and a further 20 minutes' drive away are Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere - famous for its Beatrix Potter museum.
Your Hotel —
Purchased by the Graves family in 2004, the hotel offers the Lakeland welcome associated with family ownership and courteous staff, who are always on hand to welcome and assist you in a friendly way during your stay.
The hotel is a marvellous place to unwind and enjoy yourself. The quaint surroundings and decor are capped off superbly by the excellent restaurant, where typically British menus such as afternoon teas are available throughout the day - if the sun shines why not take it in the gardens?
Take a trip to the spa, the indoor & outdoor pool, or even the indulgent outdoor hot tub - it is pure bliss soaking in here with a glass of bubbly and amazing views!
