Aberdeen —
Welcome to Aberdeen, the second-largest city in Scotland, located in the northeast where the Dee and Don rivers meet the sea. Also known as the Granite City or the Silver City, this gem consists of beautiful buildings with a shining stone architecture built from granite.
There is so much to do and see not only in the city but in the region that surrounds it. It is worth exploring the Provost Skene's House, a building recognised as one of the most important historical attractions in Scotland. The interiors of the building are captivating, full of history and allow visitors to see what everyday life was like in the past centuries. The Aberdeen Maritime Museum has award-winning exhibitions, including one that focuses on the history and lifestyle of the North Sea oil industry.
Fittie, also known as Footdee, is a charming area of Aberdeen, characterised by lovely little fishermen houses. The area is located on a point in the northeastern entrance to the port of Aberdeen. Each cottage has something unique whether it is the artistic decorations or vibrant colours - this area should definitely make it on your list!
