If you are traveling to the Turkish Aegean you should definitely visit the archaeological site of Ancient Ephesus. In addition to the famous facade of the Celsius library from the 2nd century there are excavations of public buildings along the boulevard, including a fountain of Trajan and a small temple of Hadrian. The Ephesus
Theater, where the apostle Paul is said to have preached, is one of the largest well-preserved amphitheaters in Turkey.
