Located on ancient ruins, Side is a charming place to discover many cultural spots such as the old town famous for the Temple of Apollo or Side's theatre, a beautifully preserved ancient theatre.
Side also has beautiful long sandy beaches where you can enjoy the crystal clear Mediterranean sea and try out some fun water activities.
Halfway between Alanya and Antalya, this famous holiday destination is a perfect starting point to discover other cities around. The nearest city is Manavgat where you can head to the famous bazaar for a shopping spree.
Intimate and picturesque, Side is a perfect place to relax and unwind between the blue sea and the Taurus Mountains.

Cultural activities in Sidé
The Yivli Minare mosque in Antalya
With its elegant fluted minaret made of red brick, it dominates the city, not only because of its 45-metre height but also because of its beauty. With its square base, it is decorated with brightly-coloured tiles and earthenware with intricate details. Built on the site of a former Byzantine church, the Yivli Minare mosque was converted and transformed under the leadership of the Seljuk sultan Aladin Kaykubad.
The ancient theatre of Sidé
Dating from the middle of the 2nd century, it was built to host the circus games, as evidenced by its 2.5-metre surrounding wall, which was supposed to protect the crowds from the ring.
As well as the beauty of the site, its particularity comes from the transformation it underwent between the 5th and 6th centuries, when a church was superimposed on its base.
