Set against a backdrop of pine clad hills, Marmaris is a resort that combines natural beauty with a booming tourist industry. Venture away from the trappings of Marmaris Town and discover a succession of scenic roads and authentic villages, which lead to ancient ruins and unspoilt beaches. One of the most pleasurable ways of spending the day in Marmaris is taking a boat tour to some of the nearby islands and bays, hoards of which depart daily from the dock.
Paradise Island (Nimara), Bedir Island, Turunç, Kumlubük, Çiftlik, and Phosphorus Cave are the most popular destinations - stops for swimming and a fish feast are the highlights of these fantastic days out.
