4-Night Safari
Day 1: Kilimanjaro - Arusha
Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, passage of police formalities, visa to be obtained before arrival with a valid passport directly online on the site: https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/ Health formalities, yellow fever vaccine control.
Reception at the airport by your representative and transfer to your hotel. Dinner (included as per option) and overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge (or similar).
Arusha
Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania, located at the foot of Mount Meru, close to Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks, but also not far from the Serengeti. Just north, on the slopes of Mount Meru is Arusha National Park. Built by the Germans as a centre of colonial administration due to the temperate climate, Arusha is a great place to relax for a day or two between your game drives.
Day 2: Arusha - Karatu
Enjoy breakfast, then a short briefing before taking the road aboard your 4x4 vehicle with your English-speaking driver guide for Tarangire National Park.
Arrival in the Tarangire region, the least frequented of the parks in northern Tanzania and yet endowed with exceptional flora made up of nine types of vegetation, ranging from baobab to parasol acacia.
Animal life is also very dense, especially along the Tarangire River. The Tarangire National Park with an area of 2,600 square km, is located in the Masai steppe, not far from Lake Manyara and the rift valley. The landscapes of Tarangire National Park are very different from other reserves. Located at a much lower altitude, it enjoys a hot and humid climate which develops a wide variety of vegetation with gigantic baobabs which are one of the main attractions in this park.
Tarangire is a magnificent place to visit because in the dry season there are huge processions of animals heading towards the river to quench their thirst. The latest censuses are impressive: 30,000 impalas, 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, 6,000 buffaloes, to give just a few figures. It is also a park rich in big cats and birds.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. Then depart for your last safari in a savannah where impalas, zebras and giraffes, elephants are particularly numerous. At the end of the day, leave for the lodge located in Karatu.
Check in, dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at Karatu Simba Lodge, located 4 kilometres from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Ngorongoro Forest (or similar).
Karatu
Travellers heading to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the verdant hills of the northern highlands of Tanzania. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani volcano, this colourful little town makes a popular overnight stop for visitors visiting the area's many game parks.
The town offers a variety of activities, including visiting the bustling market, tasting beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqi farm, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and waterfalls. Whether you are looking for cultural sightseeing, hiking or biking, an authentic rural Tanzania experience, or just a break between safaris, this underrated city has a lot to offer.

Pass through a small acacia forest where many baboons and exotic birds live before crossing the plains often populated by herds of buffalo and arriving at Lake Manyara. You can see quite a few elephants, but also giraffes, and sometimes lions basking on the branch of an acacia tree. The shores of the lake are populated, at certain times of the year, with thousands of flamingos, but also numerous pelicans, fish eagles, sacred ibises, crowned cranes and marabouts. Kilimanjaro
An emblematic vision of wild Africa, Kilimanjaro, capped with its eternal snow, dominates a landscape of savannas and arid plateaus. Hiking enthusiasts will adore the long trails that lead to the top of what is actually a set of three extinct volcanoes. Up to 2,700 meters above sea level, the landscape is packed with giant trees and orchids. As you continue to climb to 4000 meters, admire vast expanses of heather moors.
Zanzibar
The historic spice island of Zanzibar lies just off the coast of Tanzania, and promises visitors a once-in-a-lifetime holiday experience, whether that be at the tail end of a thrilling safari or independently as an island adventure. Zanzibar caters for every traveller, whether that be those looking to backpack on a budget, or those interested in enjoying a luxurious and exotic 5* getaway.
In terms of attractions, Zanzibar is as varied as it is beautiful, ensuring guests in search of diversity are constantly surprised. Stone Town should be number 1 on any tourist's bucket list. Charismatic, full of life and rich in history and culture, the quaint, cobbled streets of Stone Town are a delight to explore and offer up no end of treats, including the relaxed seafront promenade, the faded colonial buildings, the colourful food markets and unique touches such as the Aldabra giant tortoises at Prison Island (a short 30-minute boat ride from Stone Town itself). Given its historical focus on the spice industry, an informative spice tour is also highly recommended!
For those who simply wish to lay back, soak up the sunshine and unwind with a cocktail in hand, Zanzibar's many beaches are also destined to delight. Favourites include Nungwi and Kendwa in the north of the island, where tourists are sure to be awe-struck by an untouched Indian Ocean paradise.
