Your Tour Itinerary —
Arrival at Colombo airport and be welcomed with a flower necklace. Transfer to the port of Negombo to see the return of Sri Lankan fishermen on their dugout canoe and to visit the fish market. Installation in your hotel. Relaxation and lunch break. Visit of the Buddhist temple of Kelaniya. Immerse yourself in its architecture and astonishing murals. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 2: Hendala- Habarana
Take the road to the centre of the island where eco-tourism will be in the spotlight. Discover a coconut plantation and visit the nearby farm where you will see a buffalo farm. Enjoy a lunch with local products. Continue to Habarana to your hotel. Free time. Optional: visit the Buddhist caves of Dambulla (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Dinner.
Visit of Sigiriya and its famous Lion Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a climb to the summit, admire the ruins of the citadel built during the 5th century AD and the breathtaking view of the surrounding forests and villages. Lunch. Drive to Polonnaruwa, the former capital of the island in the 12th century where you will see the remains of this glorious past. Do not miss Gal-Vihara and its famous reclining Buddha carved into a rock. Step in a woodcarving workshop. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Immerse yourself in everyday Sri Lankan life: walk through villages and rice fields, ride in a dugout canoe on a pond covered with lotus flowers and visit plantations. Enjoy a Sinhalese cooking demonstration and homestay local lunch. Free time. Optional: 4x4 safari to observe wild elephants in a reservation in the region. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 5: Habarana/Matale/Kandy
Continue to Matale to visit a garden of spices, discover the lush flora and multiple varieties of aromatic herbs. Cooking lesson with spices and lunch in the garden. Visit a batik workshop then take the road to Kandy. City tour and stop in a gemstone cutting. Installation at the hotel. In the evening, a show of Kandy dances. Dinner.
Have a free morning in Kandy and its markets. Optional: visit the impressive Peradeniya Botanical Garden and its beautiful greenhouse of orchids. Excursion to the Blue Field tea plantation in Ramboda and visit of its tea factory. Tasting and lunch. Back in Kandy, visit the magnificent Buddha Tooth Temple, the most sacred temple in the country. Dinner.
Day 7: Kandy/West Coast
Transfer to an owner who takes care of elephants. Learn everything about the emblem of the country. Attend the elephant bath. Discover the secrets making of the "elephant paper". Lunch in the property. Departure to Colombo. Have a quick tour of the city: Independence Monument, Colonial City Center, Gangarama Temple and Galle Face esplanade.
Enjoy the paradisiac island and take advantage of the beauty of beaches! Dinner and night at the hotel. Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Founded in the XIV century by King Wickramabahu III and situated in 5km from Kandy, Peradeniya Garden could be considered as one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world. For true nature lovers, this one-hour visit is an absolute must-do!
Imagine yourselves strolling alongside the splendid Royal Palms Alley, marvelling at the gigantic Java fig tree, smelling the spices and other miraculous Sri Lankan plants in the Spice Garden and finally admire an amazing Orchid House.
