During this 8-night tour, you will discover the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka, from ancient temples and impressive rock formations to lush tea fields and vast nature parks. You will climb the iconic Lion Rock in Sigiriya, experience the spiritual atmosphere of Kandy and drive through the green hills of the Hill Country with its famous tea plantations and winding roads.
In Yala National Park, you will go in search of wildlife on an unforgettable safari. You will end your tour on the coast, in Kalutara, where you can enjoy the sun, sea and beach before continuing on to your beach resort.

Days 1 to 5
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NEGOMBO
- A warm welcome awaits at the arrival lounge of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, where your journey begins.
- Your designated chauffeur-guide will greet you, provide a brief introduction to the tour, and escort you to Negombo.
- Embark on a quick sightseeing tour of Negombo, a charming fishing town just 6 km from the airport, set amidst lush coconut groves.
- Explore the spirit of the sea: traditional outrigger canoes and catamarans bring in daily catches of skipjack, herring, mullet, pomfret, amberjack, lobster and prawns.

DAY 3: SIGIRIYA
- Begin the day with an early morning climb to Pidurangala Rock, a stunning hike near Sigiriya. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the iconic Lion’s Rock, all while avoiding the crowds.
- Return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast.
- After breakfast, visit a local school in Sigiriya or Habarana, depending on holidays or celebrations. Guests are warmly invited to donate stationery or small gifts for the children.
- Continue with a Hiriwaduna village trek and cooking demonstration, immersing yourself in the nature and culture of rural Sri Lanka.
- Begin with a bullock cart or tractor ride, followed by a catamaran boat ride across the village pond.
- Walk through paddy fields and vegetable plots to reach a village home.
- Witness traditional Sri Lankan cooking and enjoy an authentic village lunch.

DAY 5: SIGIRIYA → KANDY (approx. 2.5 hours / 56 miles)
- After breakfast, depart for Kandy, travelling through Sri Lanka’s scenic countryside.

- Stop at a spice garden in Matale and enjoy a short Ayurvedic massage, before visiting a Batik factory to witness the traditional artistry behind vibrant fabrics.
- Arrive in Kandy and embark on a tuk-tuk sightseeing tour of the historic hill capital, originally known as Senkadagala.
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a revered Buddhist site and symbol of Sri Lankan sovereignty.

DAY 6: KANDY → NUWARA ELIYA / HILL COUNTRY (approx. 2.5 hours / 50 minutes)

- Proceed to Kandy railway station for a short scenic train ride to Nawalapitiya or Gampola (approx. 20–30 minutes, unreserved seats).
- Continue the journey to Nuwara Eliya, passing through lush hill country.
- En route, stop at a tea plantation and factory, experiencing the full journey of tea, from hand-plucked leaves to steaming cups.
- Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, exploring its charming colonial town and picturesque surroundings.
- Arrive and check in to the hotel, ready to relax amid the serene hill-country landscape.

DAY 7: NUWARA ELIYA → TISSAMAHARAMA / YALA (approx. 2.5 hours / 50 minutes)

- En route, pause to admire Ravana Waterfall, a striking cascade set amidst lush greenery.

- En route, visit Galle Fort and its Dutch Fortifications, exploring a city that beautifully blends past and present.
- Wander through the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, declared a World Heritage Site in 1988, and admire the fascinating Portuguese, Dutch and British architectural influences that shape its streets and buildings.
- Arrive in Kalutara and check in to your hotel, settling in for the evening.

DAY 9: KALUTARA → COLOMBO → DEPARTURE FOR THE BEACH HOTEL (approx. 2 hours / 81 miles)
- After breakfast, depart for Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling commercial capital.
- Embark on a sightseeing tour of the city, wandering from vibrant bazaars to stylish residential streets, where grand colonial-era buildings sit alongside modern office blocks.
- Observe the city’s rich diversity of religions and ethnicities, reflected in its architecture, markets, and daily life.
- Enjoy free time for shopping or personal exploration, soaking up the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of Colombo (not included).
- Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
Guests are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to departure.
