Your itinerary in detail —
Day 1: Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your tour guide in the arrivals hall, who will accompany you throughout your tour from days 1 to 8.

Day 2: Sigirya
Head to Sigiriya and visit The Ruwanweli Maha Seya - one of the most significant and venerated stupas in Buddhism - which stands 103 meters tall and is a symbol of Sri Lanka's rich cultural and religious heritage.
See Isurumuniya, a Buddhist temple renowned for its exquisite rock carvings and notable sculptures such as the Isurumuniya Lovers, the Horseman, and the Elephant Pond.
You will also get to visit Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, a historical sacred bo tree in the Mahamewuna Garden of Anuradhapura.

Day 3: Sigiriya
Early in the morning, get ready to climb the Lion Rock of Sigiriya, accompanied by your driver-guide.
Declared the Eighth Wonder of the World by UNESCO, Sigiriya (the Lion Rock) is an ancient stone and rock fortress and palace ruin in the centre of Dambulla, surrounded by the remains of a vast network of gardens and reservoirs.
Please note: If you wish to climb to the summit, it will take you around 2 to 3 hours.

Day 4: Kandy
Stop en route to Kandy at the Dambulla cave temple, where 5 caves house ancient paintings depicting the Buddha and his life.
Visit the Ayurvedic village of Matale and one of the Hindu temples, whose monumental entrance tower is the tallest in Sri Lanka, and end the day with a trip to the ornate Temple of the Tooth after you arrive in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy
Enjoy a walking tour of the Udawattakeles forest, which is home to around 400 plant species.
After, go on a short tour of Kandy - a vibrant city nestled amidst lush green hills and dense tropical forest with the magnificent Kandy Lake as the focal point.

Day 6: Nuwara - Eliya
Move on to Nuwara-Eliya and enjoy a train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya. The train still follows the legendary route built in the 19th century and passes through picturesque mountains and beautiful unspoilt landscapes.
Get an insight into the art of growing and producing Sri Lanka's famous Ceylon tea when you visit a tea plantation and a tea factory.
Please note: The train journey will be confirmed subject to availability and the class of train tickets will depend on the availability of 1st, 2nd or 3rd class seats (duration: approximately 3 hours).

Day 7: Tissamaharama
Enjoy an unforgettable 3-hour jeep safari in Yala National Park (starting at around 2:30 pm).
Located in the southeastern part of the island, in the semi-arid region bordering the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka's second-largest national park is home to numerous mammals, including the highest density of leopards in the world.
