Lions Rock River Lodge —
Situated on the banks of the iconic Sabie River, the Lions Rock River Lodge is just 10 minutes from Hazyview and a few hours' drive from Johannesburg. With direct access to the rapids, this lodge is split between the Camp, where your luxury tent is located, and the Lodge. You'll love relaxing in nature, admiring the wildlife that surrounds you. You're also ideally located for exploring the Kruger National Park, with the Phabeni Gate just a twenty-minute drive away. The ideal place to discover the rich culture of this region of South Africa as well as its memorable landscapes.

This offer is based on a half-board stay (excluding drinks) at Lions Rock River Lodge and a bed & breakfast stay for 2 nights at Premier Hotel OR Tambo.
Enjoy delicious meals in a friendly atmosphere, under the vast dining tent, around a warm campfire. The region offers a fusion cuisine blending African and European influences. Game dishes are a specialty in South Africa, such as antelope. Recipes where meat is combined with fresh vegetables and local fruit. You will be able to choose your airline and flight times when you make your booking. This flight may include one or more stopovers. The stopover may be technical (without a change of aircraft) or transit (with a change of aircraft).
Luggage information
Baggage, meals and other services on board certain flights may be subject to a charge. You will find out whether your airfare includes baggage when you choose your airline and timetable. If your fare does not include baggage, please go to the airline's website before your departure with your travel file reference to find out the exact fare and purchase your extra baggage. If you choose a low-cost airline, you will be able to add your baggage during the booking process. For domestic flights, airlines do not always offer the option of reserving baggage, so you will have to pay for it at the airport counter. You will receive all the information you need to check in for your flights after you have made your reservation.
Kruger National Park —
Home to all of South Africa's iconic wild animals, including the big five, the Kruger National Park is one of the best destinations to see wildlife. The park extends across nearly two million hectares and offers a range in landscapes from the granite hills of the South and the Lembombo mountains and savannah of the East and the tropical forests of the North.
Beyond biodiversity, the Kruger National Park has many historical and archaeological sites. The park was created in a bid to protect South Africa's wildlife and holds the stories of many cultures and explorers. One of the park's best features is its accessibility, and it's easy to navigate the vast network of roads. There are many ways to explore the wonders of the Kruger Park, from self-driving tours to private safaris. Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist you to the bus terminal where you will take your shuttle to the Premier Hotel OR Tambo where you will spend your first night. The Premier Hotel OR Tambo offers a free shuttle service between the hotel and OR Tambo International Airport between 05:00 and 22:00 daily (upon request).
Overnight in Johannesburg.
Day 2: Johannesburg - Hazyview
The shuttle transfer to Hazyview departs from OR Tambo International Airport at 07:00 and arrives in Hazyview at 12:20;
From Hazyview, you will be transferred to Lions Rock, a transfer of approximately 10 minutes.
Overnight at Lions Rock River Lodge.
Day 3: Kruger National Park
Enjoy a full-day safari in the Kruger National Park, departing around 05:00 and returning to the lodge in the afternoon, around 17:00.
On our scheduled safaris, you will be in a group with several people in an open safari vehicle. Departure and arrival times are fixed and cannot be changed. Over the course of the day, you will cover approximately 10% of the 2,294 km of roads open to the public in the park. All roads lead somewhere and, while enjoying the Kruger's diverse wildlife, you'll stop for breakfast/brunch. After breakfast, you'll continue your game drive in search of 147 species of mammals, 507 species of birds and 114 species of reptiles. Along the way, your driver will try to show you as much as possible, and with a bit of luck, you may catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard. Lunchtime will allow you to stretch your legs and enjoy the splendour of this magnificent place!

Day 5: Hazyview
Breakfast at your lodge;
You will then leave for your panoramic excursion at around 8.00 am, lasting until 4.00/5.00 pm. This tour takes you through a vast wooded area to the edge of an escarpment. The route includes stops at Graskop, God's Window, a number of waterfalls, the unique Bourke's Luck Potholes and a viewpoint over the Blyde River Canyon. Lunch stop en route (own expense).

Day 6: Hazyview
Set off again for a full-day safari through the Kruger National Park.

Day 7: Hazyview - Johannesburg
After breakfast, depart for Johannesburg. The shuttle bus will leave Hazyview at approximately 12:30 and arrive at OR Tambo International Airport at approximately 17:30, where you can catch your bus to the Premier Hotel OR Tambo;

Day 8: Johannesburg
After breakfast, you can take the bus to the airport before checking in for your flight;
