Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Johannesburg
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative of Sense of Africa, South Africa, who will escort you to the bus terminal for a shuttle transfer to the Premier Hotel OR Tambo (or equivalent).
Overnight stay and breakfast at the hotel.
DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG TO MAKALALI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Depart early in the morning at 06:45 for Makalali Main Lodge, arriving at approximately 13:30.
Welcome to aha Makalali Private Game Reserve, located to the west of the Kruger National Park and offering guests an authentic stay in 26,000 hectares of savannah in the northeast of the country. You can spot the Big 5 (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, rhino), as well as cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, zebra and kudu. Enjoy an afternoon game drive departing around 16:00 and returning to the lodge around 19:00 (duration 3 hours).
Lunch, dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at the lodge.
Days 3, 4, 5 & 6:Makalali Private Game Reserve
Another four days to enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Morning game drives depart around 06:00 and take approximately 3 hours.
Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives in the Makalali Private Game Reserve. The morning game drive departs at about 06:00 and returns to the lodge at about 09:00 (duration 3 hours).
The afternoon game drive departs around 16:00 and returns to the lodge around 19:00 (duration: 3 hours).
Lunch, dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at the lodge.
DAY 7 or 9 or 12: MORNING SAFARI AND RETURN TO JOHANNESBURG
Enjoy an early morning game drive and breakfast at your lodge, before transferring back to Johannesburg, if you take the transfer, departing at 11:45 and arriving between 17:15 and 17:45.
Overnight stay and breakfast at the lodge.
DAY 8 or 10 or 13: DEPARTURE FROM JOHANNESBURG
After breakfast, departure for the airport by shuttle bus.
