Marrakech is an incredibly intriguing city, where you can explore a completely different world of exoticism, from the Jemaa El Fna (11km), to the Menara (12km), to any number of mosques, each uniquely designed and decorated.

Visitors of this intoxicating place can also enjoy the largest souk (market place) in Morocco - this really is an experience that needs to be seen to be believed, with hundreds of small stalls selling all manner of objects, from the freshest foods, to beautiful boutiques offering lovely fabrics, pots, and decorations.

The obvious place to start is the Jemaa El Fna Square (8km) with its lively and exotic atmosphere packed with stalls, street cafes and even snake charmers! At night the square is lit and the smell of spices wafting through the streets is an experience not to be missed. A day trip to the nearby Atlas Mountains gives you the ability to leave the full-on nature of the city and escape into the blissful scenery of the picturesque mountains.

When entering the country, make sure your passport is stamped. Some tourists have experienced difficulties leaving the country because their passport bears no entry stamp. 


Health 


Visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip to check whether you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures. 


Henna tattoos are common in Morocco. Some henna tattoos contain the chemical para-phenylenediamine (PPD) which can cause a painful allergic reaction including swelling and an itchy rash in some people. 

Please note: Ramadan is forecast to commence in the evening of Sunday 5th May 2019 and to end in the evening of Tuesday 4th June 2019 (dates may vary dependant on destination). During this time, facilities/services may be limited and the consumption/purchase of alcohol may not be permitted.
