Jemaa El Fna Square
Jemaa el-Fna is a mythical square in Marrakech, a place of cultural exchanges, alive from dawn to dusk with shows and musical performances, open air restaurants and permanent entertainment. Come and discover the snake charmers, water carriers, fortune-tellers, acrobats, fire-eaters or story-tellers who meet on this world famous place which features on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List.
Koutoubia Mosque
The most famous mosque in Marrakech was built by the Berber people in the 12th century. The Koutoubia offers a traditional Almohad architecture, with impressive decor on its four walls. Also called the Mosque for librarians, it features a 69-metre high minaret.
Saadian Tombs
Each year, an increasing number of visitors marvel at the sheer beauty of these 16th century tombs discovered in 1917. The only remains of the Saadian dynasty, the building houses a mausoleum comprising nearly sixty tombs.
Majorelle Garden
This botanical garden was built by French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 1930s. Inspired by the colour of the tiles in Moroccan houses, he created a luminous and intense shade of blue and painted his villa, garden walls, fountains, flower pots with this now famous blue Majorelle. After his death, the house was abandoned and restored in 1980 by Yves Saint-Laurent. The garden is now filled with lush, exotic plants.
