- You'll arrive at New Delhi International Airport.
- After customs, immigration and baggage claim, you'll be met by a representative as you exit the arrivals building.
- You'll be transferred to your hotel and assisted with check in.
- India's capital and a major gateway to the country, New Delhi is a bustling metropolis that successfully combines the ancient with the modern. Among the rapidly spiralling skyscrapers, vestiges of a bygone era stand as silent testimonies to the region's former glory. The first impressions for any visitor arriving from the airport are of a spacious, leafy city, lined with trees and dotted with many beautiful parks.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2: DELHI
- After breakfast, set off on a combined tour of old and new Delhi.
- Begin by visiting Old Delhi. The tour will begin with Raj Ghat, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
- Drive past Red Fort (closed on Mondays and national holidays). This World Heritage Site is one of the most spectacular pieces of Mughal architecture.
- Continue to the Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques (view only from the outside).
- After visiting Old Delhi, you will be taken to New Delhi, which reflects the legacy left by the British.
Days 3-5
DAY 3: MANDAWA
- After breakfast, depart from Delhi for Mandawa (155 miles - 6h) - a remote feudal principality in the centre of the Shekhawati region. On arrival, proceed to check in at the hotel.
- The ruler Rajput of Mandawa built a fort in 1755 to protect this trading post, which stood on the ancient caravan routes linking China and the Middle East. The town that grew up around the fort attracted a large community of traders who settled here. When caravan traffic ceased at the end of the XVIIIth century, the traders established trading empires in other parts of the country but returned to Mandawa to build palatial mansions in their hometown.
- In the afternoon, explore this fairytale town of Mandawa renowned for its colourful frescoes on a wide variety of subjects (ranging from the religious to the erotic), from copies of popular English prints to witty social satires, done in the inimitable style of local artists. Every house here is adorned with cheerfully painted frescoes that illuminate the barren landscape.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4: MANDAWA - JAIPUR
- After breakfast, depart Mandawa for Jaipur (110 miles - 4h) and check in at your hotel.
- Jaipur's past is never far away. The city of victory, Jaipur, presides over the fascinating state of the desert and its inhabitants. Surrounded by steep hills - each crowned by a formidable fort, it is full of beautiful palaces, mansions and gardens. Apart from the bustling traffic of bikes, cars and buses, little seems to have changed in what's known as the pink city.
Days 6-8
DAY 6: AGRA
- After the buffet breakfast, depart from Jaipur for Agra (145 miles / 6 hours), visiting Fatehpur Siri en route. It's now an extraordinary place to walk around with its near-perfect buildings.
- After your visit, continue to Agra and upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
- Agra, in terms of ambience, is still associated with its Mughal period. The Mughals, as well as being great rulers, were also great builders and they preserved their most important architectural wonders for Agra and its surroundings.
- The city has many wonderful monuments and the Taj Mahal, the largest of them, is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture in all its splendour.
- The massive but elegant Fort of Agra, the delicate artistry of Itimad-ud-Daulah's tomb, the magnificent Taj Mahal and the abandoned capital of Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri, are all unique and must-sees on your trip.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Your destinations —
Male
Widely famed as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, the Maldives attracts travellers looking for true peace and quiet. Of the 2,000 islands that make up the country, only 200 are inhabited, becoming a hotspot for luxury resorts with beautiful villas overlooking the azure Indian Ocean.
Its capital city, Malé, is a densely populated island at the heart of the country’s 26 atolls, though most visitors will spend their time on one of the country’s resort islands. Here, you can experience true relaxation, waking up to tranquil sea views and spending your days on the soft, white-sand beaches or diving in stunning reefs. Indeed, the Maldives have an amazing diversity of sea life, with corals and over 2000 species of fish, ranging from reef fish and reef sharks to moray eels, rays and whale sharks.
New Delhi
A trip to New Delhi, India's dynamic capital, will introduce you to teeming bazaars, tree-lined boulevards, fascinating temples and historically important mosques. Somewhere between a place of intense spirituality and a dynamic eastern metropolis, this city offers something for all its visitors.
Its turbulent history is reflected in a wide variety of architectural styles, which testify to how the city has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. To see an example of the city's diverse cultural heritage, visit the Qutab Minar. This sandstone and marble brick minaret marked the beginning of Muslim rule in India. A short distance away, walkable by rickshaw, is the Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan), where you can see the English and Indian architectural influences that characterise much of New Delhi. Walking along Rajpath Avenue (the King's Way), one can admire the Gateway of India, the monument to the Indian nation.
