New Voyage Privé —
Carefully selected for our members by our experts
What I loved most about Sandies Bathala was its genuine, unpretentious Maldives feel, simple, beautiful, and entirely focused on the lagoon and reef. The house reef is really the star here, you can slip into the water just a few steps from the beach and be surrounded by marine life almost instantly. I still remember heading out for a late afternoon snorkel and ending up watching the reef change colour as the sun went down, it felt incredibly peaceful. I’d recommend it especially to travellers who value underwater experiences and barefoot island charm.
