Your stay also includes an authentic experience rooted in local traditions, with a stay in a private room in a tranquil ryokan in Hakone, near Mount Fuji:
A ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn, usually featuring:
- Tatami-matted rooms (woven straw floors)
- Futon bedding, laid out on the floor each night
- Sliding paper doors (shoji) and minimalist design
- Shared bathrooms and baths, but not mixed (often hot springs, or onsen)
- A strong emphasis on omotenashi, the art of Japanese hospitality
Please note:
- Rooms in western hotels have, by default, 2 separate single beds (twin rooms).
- In Japan, a densely populated country where everything is small, the 3*** hotels are of very good quality, but the rooms are often quite narrow (12 to 16m2 depending on the hotel for twin rooms). For more comfort, choose the 4* option.
- For triple rooms, we cannot guarantee a single room for 3 people. Depending on the hotel, a double and a single room may be offered.
- In the case of a group order (> 5 people), it is possible, depending on the availability of the hotels, that not all the members of the group will be accommodated in the same hotel. However, the goal is to be close to each other.
- If there is a single supplement, it will be applied in all accommodations except in the ryokan. Indeed, as this is a traditional accommodation, there are no single rooms, but you will find spacious rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people.
