Florence (50 km), Siena (40 km) and Pisa (60 km) are easily reached by car or by train. It takes no more than 15 to 30 minutes to drive to San Gimignano (15 km) and to the Chianti Classico area. We suggest you add car hire (see next page) to make the most of this wonderful region.

La Canonica Restaurant offers traditional Tuscan and Florentine dishes prepared following ancient recipes and with organic ingredients.
You can taste the famous wines produced on the farm, "Villa Poggio a Varna", that perfectly accompany all the dishes on the menu.
The separate wine bar is at your disposal for aperitifs and tastings of the area's famous wines, accompanied by an array of foods to sample the genuine flavours of Tuscany.
Your Time —
If you're a keen horse rider or fancy trying it out for the first time, the friendly instructors at the riding school will be happy to guide you arond the extensive trekking trails in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
