Your Destination —
Along the 160 km of Maremma coastline will find a huge variety of panoramas: sand stretches and rocky cliffs, free and private beaches, hidden bays and the Mediterranean greenery. The sea here is among the cleanest in Italy and the Blue Flag is awarded regularly. The waters are sprinkled with small islands and fishing villages.
Porto Ercole: The historic centre, just 5km away from your hotel is surrounded by the walls from the XV century and features the evocative Santa Barbara Square, from where you can admire the harbour. The surroundings are characterized by a series of forts and towers, including Forte Stella, Forte Filippo, Forte Santa Caterina and Torre del Mulinaccio. Along the seashore you will find many bars and restaurants.
Capalbio: Thanks to its historic-artistic importance acquired during the Renaissance, this hamlet is sometimes called ‘The Small Athens’. It is also famous for protecting its beaches and natural attractions, which include a WWF oasis in Lake Burano. From the tower of the Aldobrandesco Castle and from its walls you can admire an extraordinary panorama. Do not miss Monteverro Winery, where you can enjoy a guided visit and wine tasting in the cellars and in the vineyards.
Islands of Giglio and Giannutri: Easily reachable with the ferry boats that depart from Porto Santo Stefano, these islands belong to the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. They are important not only for the diversity of the local fauna and flora, but also famous for its fantastic scuba diving. From Porto Santo Stefano’s embarkation point, it will take you about 50 minutes to reach Giglio Island and 60 minutes to reach Giannutri.

The Dama Dama Restaurant - The restaurant offers amazing Tuscan and Italian cuisine, with particular attention to the culinary traditions of the Maremma region. The chef, Emiliano Lombardelli, creatively interprets Mediterranean cuisine with particular care for local products, and uses the resorts' home grown organic vegetables in most of her fantastic creations.
Aper Bar - This unique lounge area is characterized by Marcel Wanders' amusing tables shaped like Wild Boars (Aper in Latin) and by large, circular sofas. Just like in the Dama Dama Restaurant, the name and the design of the bar are dedicated to a local animal that can still be found in the wild around Tuscany's forests.
During the warmer months, drinks and snacks can be enjoyed on the panoramic terrace overlooking the golf course, Monte Argentario’s landscape and the Gulf of Talamone. An experience that cannot be missed at sunset!
Wine Shop - At the shop of the Argentario Resort you will find a corner dedicated to the wine world. Here, 18 of Tuscany’s wineries present their very best produce.
