The main restaurant serves an imaginative evening menu built around South Tyrolean and Italian produce — nettle gnocchi, homemade ravioli, dishes that move between hearty alpine and light Mediterranean depending on the season. The kitchen has been recognised by Falstaff, La Cuisine and Feinschmecker.

For special evenings, Frieda's Fine Dining offers a refined five-course tasting menu with a surprise element — the dishes are revealed only when served. The BelBar & Bistro keeps things informal through the day, with homemade apple strudel, savoury bites and a carefully chosen selection of craft beers and organic wines.

The wine scene is equally impressive: South Tyrol produces some of Italy's finest whites, from crisp Pinot Grigio to aromatic Gewürztraminer, best sampled along the scenic Wine Road between Bolzano and Merano.


Dive deeper:

South Tyrol rewards those who venture beyond the main towns. Hike through the Alpe di Siusi, Europe's largest high-altitude alpine meadow, or follow the ancient irrigation channels known as Waalwege through orchard-covered hillsides. In winter, the region transforms into one of the Alps' most celebrated ski destinations. At any time of year, the cable cars above Bolzano — including the Ritten, Mölten and Vöran lines — offer quick access to high-altitude villages and panoramic walks far from the crowds.

South Tyrol enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine per year, making it one of the sunniest regions in the Alps. Summer brings warm temperatures ideal for hiking and cycling, while autumn is harvest season — the vineyards and apple orchards are at their most vivid from September to October. Super Cover

Additional cover by vehicle category: Category B–C–E: €24 per day Includes 50% reduction on the security deposit payable on arrival.

Covers:

  • 50% reduction on the security deposit payable on arrival
  • Waiver of charges in the event of damage, theft, fire, windscreen damage, tyre damage, interior damage and vandalism
  • In the event of partial or total loss or fire in Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Catania and surrounding areas, the customer's liability is reduced to: €1,000 for Category B/C vehicles

Not valid in cases of breach of Article 1176 of the Civil Code. In cases of negligence, fraud or gross negligence under Article 1229 of the Civil Code, all liability limits are waived and the customer bears the full cost of the vehicle.

The following general conditions are an extract from the rental agreement, the full version of which is available at www.drivalia.com.

Conditions are subject to change without notice. Rates are valid in Italy and cannot be combined with loyalty programmes. Fleet and models are subject to change without notice. The rental period extends automatically until the vehicle is returned. The customer must comply with road traffic regulations and use the vehicle with the care required under Article 1176 of the Civil Code. CDW, TP and Super Cover are not valid in cases of breach of Article 1176, or in cases of negligence, fraud, gross negligence or loss of vehicle keys. All customers must present a valid credit card in the name of the driver for extras, insurance, excess charges and fuel.


Please note:

  • GPS: many providers no longer supply GPS devices, as most vehicles are equipped with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Drivalia is among these providers — no GPS is supplied.
  • Fleet: all models listed are examples only.
  • Cancellation conditions: a reservation may be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before the scheduled collection time. After this point, the provider reserves the right to retain all costs incurred.
  • Important: if the main driver is not the person who made the reservation, the driver's first and last name must be sent to [email protected]. The credit card must also be in the name of the main driver. Debit cards are not accepted.

If you book a package that includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package that does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as an agent for the accommodation provider.
