DAY 2 : Rome - Sorrento
Your coach makes its way to stunning Sorrento, where you'll have time to explore this south western Italian town that's home to shops selling beautiful ceramics and lace-work. Soaring cliffs offer ideal vantage points for taking in magnificent views of the Bay of Naples.
Overnight at Hotel Ascot 4*

Hop on the coach for a drive through the scenic Italian countryside to Villa San Giovanni. Board the ferry bound for the port city of Messina, where the apostrophe-shaped harbour perches on the Ionian Coast of Sicily.

DAY 4 : Taormina area - Mount Etna - Taormina area
Mt Etna is first on the agenda today with an included visit, marvel at the largest UNESCO World Heritage listed active volcano in Europe. Later enjoy a stroll along Corso Umberto and visit Piazza Nove Aprile in Taormina. This afternoon, return to your hotel for the evening.

Visit Villa Romana del Casale, a 4th-century, World Heritage-listed villa in Piazza Armerina. When you reach Agrigento you’ll have chance to see the important archaeological site with its hilltop Valley of the Temples. A local guide will lead you around the temple of Juno Lacinia, before you board the coach back to your hotel.

DAY 6 : Agrigento - Selinunte - Marsala - Palermo
The first stop on today’s itinerary is the historic city of Selinunte. Discover the ancient Greek Acropolis with its crumbling collection of temple remains. Get to know the inner workings of a salt mill in Marsala before travelling on to Palermo.

See the sights of Trapani, traditionally a trading hub, which now attracts visitors to its historic centre and harbour. Board the cable car to the historic hilltop town of Erice for a bird’s eye view before heading back to your Palermo hotel.

DAY 8 : Palermo - Overnight Ferry Crossing To Naples
Take the whole day to explore the sizzling Sicilian capital, where a local guide will introduce you to the opulent royal chapel, Cappella Palatina, adorned in gilded stuccos and elaborate frescos. Boarding the ferry in Palermo that evening, you’ll awake in Naples in time for breakfast.

Hop on the coach bound for Rome, and take some time to explore the ‘Eternal City’ at your own pace. You could choose to sip quality coffee and watch the world go by at a piazza café, or see one or two of the city’s main attractions, such as the elaborate Trevi Fountain, the people-watching hotspot of the Spanish Steps, or the holy Vatican City, with its collection of museums and opulent architecture.

DAY 10 : Rome - UK.
