Day 1 : Arrive in Sorrento
Arrive at your fantastic 5* hotel and breathe in the fresh sea air of the Neapolitan Riviera. Get some well-deserved rest after your journey, cool off in the luxurious pool, and head out for evening exploring the bars and restaurants in this vibrant town.
DAY 2: GUIDED TOUR OF SORRENTO
Join a small, intimate tour group to spend 2 hours with a local guide discovering the delights of Sorrento. Marvel at the pretty yellow and gold buildings of Tasso Square, admire the magnificent Sant'Antonino Church and the San Francesco Cloister, and enjoy the lush greenery of the ancient Valley of the Mills.
Wander down narrow alleyways to discover local artists and craftmanship, and examine the spectacular inlaid woodworks and the famous Sorrento sandals. Get to know life as a local on the Amalfi Coast as you stroll around the pretty fishing village of Marina Grande, and enjoy stunning views over the iconic landscape. On completion of the tour take the rest of the day to continue exploring at your leisure. Try a spot of shopping, or relax on the gorgeous Spiaggia di Sorrento.
Day 3 : Guided Tour of Pompeii
Meet your expert local tour guide at Piazza Tasso and depart to historic Pompeii. Enjoy easy entry as you skip the line and head straight to the ruins, where visitors walk along the ancient “cardini” and “decumani” to explore the remains of the prosperous Romans. The archeaological site of Pompeii lay buried under volcanic ash from the first-century eruption of Mount Vesuvius until excavations began in the 18th century. See the baths, streets, bakeries and forums that were once integral parts of daily life. Marvel at the magnificently preserved frescoes that adorn fine villas.
This excursion lasts 4 hours, and visitors will be be accompanied back to Sorrento upon completion of the tour. Take the afternoon to enjoy the beach or spend a lazy hour two people-watching and sampling crisp Italian wine.
Meet your guide at café Ruccio by the port of Sorrento before leaving for beautiful Capri. Zip throught the salty sea on a speed motorboat and enjoy a scenic ride along the coastline before arriving in Marina Grande. A minibus will carry visitors to the upper part of the island, to the little Piazzetta of Capri with its iconic clock that hazes out towards the sea.
Stroll the narrow streets surrounding the famous square, and adventure to the south of the island, the perfect spot for taking pictures of the majestic Faraglioni Rocks. Take the opportunity to visit the gorgeous Augustus Gardens before returning to your guide in Marina Grande and enjoying a scenic boat ride around the island. Admire splendid caves, stretch out and sunbathe, and plunge into the crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Return by fast motorboat to the port Sorrento.
Day 5 : Visit the Amalfi Coast
Meet your tour guide at Piazza Tasso in the city centre, and spend an unforgettable day exploring and discovering the rich history of the coast on this fantastic 8 hour tour of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Stroll the narrow streets of Positano, sip an espresso in a cosy cafe on the beach, relax on the Spiaggia Grande or visit one of the beautiful art galleries.
Take a boat from Positano and peek a first glimpse of Amalfi by sea, admiring the famous golden buildings tumbling down the coast from the water. Visit the Cathedral of Amalfi and its beautiful cloister, and sample local delicacies like a Santa Rosa pastry.
End the day with a stop in Ravello, where visitors can see the famous Villa Rufolo and its beautiful garden overlooking the sea. Peer into the many pottery factories and hidden shops, and taste homemade limoncello and local lemon flavoured oil.
