Your Itinerary in Detail —
Day 1-2
Day 1: Arrive at Porto Torres or Alghero Airport or Olbia and pick up your rental car (not included in the price) and make your way to your first hotel.
Day 2: Discover the splendid Costa Smeralda, between the gulfs of Arzachena and Cugnana. This place owes its name to the particular colour of the sea and the chromatic variations of the transparent waters that insinuate themselves into a labyrinth of granite rocks, forming enchanting panoramas. The entire coast is surrounded by fascinating places to discover. From Porto Cervo to the south, you will find enchanting beaches that from Golfo del Pevero lead to Cala di Volpe passing through Punta Capriccioli. Another very popular location is Porto Rotondo: overlooking the wide gulf of Cugnana!
Upon arrival at the hotel, a tasting of typical Sardinian cheeses awaits you with a fresh glass of local wine (included in the tour rate).
Day 3-6
Day 3: After breakfast, head to the Port of Cala Gonone, where a boat will wait for you to visit one of the most famous and beautiful caves in Sardinia, La grotta del bue marino. With this fantastic boat trip, discover the fantastic east coast of Sardinia starting from Cala Gonone. On board a motorboat, you will have all the comforts and services to let you enjoy the beauties of the area. Admire the most famous beaches, coves, caves and the most suggestive corners of the coast up to Cala Luna.
Day 4: Discover the wonderful beaches that characterise this area. There are many corners of rare natural beauty! The San Teodoro area for example features the most stunning beaches in the world. One of them is the Punta Est beach which, just as the name says, is located on the eastern side of the island, about 20 kilometres north of the San Teodoro pond, and is considered one of the best beaches in Sardinia.
Nearby, there is also another very famous seaside resort: Lastra Ruia, famous for its very fine sand. If you head South, there is another place dedicated to relaxation: the coast of Cala Brandinchi, a fabulous place and one of the most photographed in all of Italy.
You can also visit the beach by Lu Impostu, where the sea is blue and transparent, or La Cinta beach where you can taste Sardinian cuisine.
Day 5: After breakfast, we suggest you visit the Maddalena archipelago, an invaluable naturalistic treasure with Spargi, Cala Corsara, Budelli and its pink beach (optional).
Day 6: Get ready to discover the city of Alghero, an ancient city of Catalan origin. Its historic centre is characterised by an extraordinary Catalan Gothic style. You’ll enjoy an interesting walking tour in the historical centre of Alghero. You will be able to discover many curiosities while having fun and walking in the open air among the narrow streets of Alghero, the roads that line the majestic sea and among the most famous monuments! A walk that will make you travel back in time, to discover the history of this area of Sardinia. After visiting Alghero you cannot miss Bosa, crossing the coastal panorama. Bosa is an enchanting medieval small town crossed by the Temo river.
Day 7-8
Day 7: Start your journey with Castelsardo, an ancient medieval fortress, featuring Doria castle, which overlooks the sea and has a deep-rooted history as a defensive fortress. Savour the delicious Castellana lobster and immerse yourself in the beautiful Punta la Capra, which plays on sea and rocks to create a true open-air swimming pool.
The beaches in this area are among the most famous on the island with their characteristic white sand, such as the marvellous La Pelosa beach, which will enchant you with its crystal clear water. Visit Stintino, situated on the last limb of Sardinia, which stretches out towards the island of Asinara as to touch it, showing itself to the world as a masterpiece of rare beauty. Savour real seafood here and visit Capo Falcone!
Day 8: Your trip has come to an end... it's time to head home!
